… Earth calling Jen [Syrian Chem Weaps Attack] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Friday,August 23rd,2013

.. the Jen i am referring to is a hack ..

.. yes , a hack . Her name is Jen Psaki . She was a longtime Dem operative , and political spokeswoman . Believe it or not , she is now the spokeswoman for our country at the State Department . May God Help Us .

.. You may wonder why ? it is because from the clear evidence on the TV and electronic news , from the sum total of it , that Bashaar Assad ‘ s regime has used chemical weapons in its nation ‘ s civil war . Psaki is trying to split hairs , very abrasively and arrogantly , not saying one way or the other that the attacks occured , when it is absolutely and abudantly clear that it has happened . God , is she an arrogant witch , or what ?

.. [here] , see it for yourself . Even better , watch the other link on the opening , where Shepard Smith (who is not the best interviewer in the pack) of FoxNews kick her butt inside out , and make her look like a colossal idiot …

.. [here] , even better , watch James Rosen (who is a top – flight questioner) skewer her at the podium …

… You Have to Be Kidding ?!?! …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Monday,August 5th,2013

.. Cutting and Running is not the Answer .

.. Stand Your Ground , just might be the answer .

.. The closing of embassies all over the Arab World is waaay beyond the pale . You do not deal with a security threat by digging a hole in the ground , and hiding your head in it . You begin to deal with the threat or threats . You take a proactive approach , and go on the offensive .

.. I thought that POTUS ‘ foreign policy is weak as a spaghetti noodle , but not this weak . The bad guys will just wait us out , and hit us when we least expect it . They will do it when it most suits them , and when it least suits us . Get serious , folks .

.. You have to move forward with a proactive approach . You need to give your intelligence services the tools to do the job that they were brought together to do . One also should give the intelligence services firm direction and guidance on what is expected , but not to micromanage what they do .  Give them room to do the job that they need to do . Be upfront . Defend what they do , and do not lowjack them with legal probes for past actions for which , directly or indirectly , they had the legal authority to do .

.. Make the bad guys respect them , and fear you . Then , they will know that retaliation will be swift , sure , and certain .

.. Also , be more careful about how one elects political leaders . It applies to senators , congresscritters , as well as to POTUS . Weak policy and weak leaders is asking for trouble .

… Cutting and Running is not the Answer ! …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Friday,August 2nd,2013

.. The State Department seems to think that it has accurate intel about terroristic threats about ongoing ops in the Arab World . Or , so it thinks that it does . I would tend to wonder . As a response , they have ordered the “temporary” closure of embassies and consulates throughout the Arab World . They think that that is the answer to an increased security threat ? Cutting and Running ?

.. The ObamaCrap foreign policy is a disgrace . We are the laughingstock , around the world . Our level of respect in foreign lands has never been lower . The so – called ” Russian reset ” is anything but an embarassment . It is but an excuse for our foreign policy establishment to kiss up to the Russians , while appeasing them to the n – th degree , while effectively getting nothing in return . The “Arab Spring” has been totally mismanaged . Our friends cower in fear , while our enemies advance their interests . They do so with very little , if any , fear of what we think , or what we will do . The Far East has badly destabilized , and , if we are not careful , a war could break out , one that could go nuclear very quickly .

.. We need better . We deserve better . We have to have better . The sooner , the better .

… You Have to be Kidding Me … (She got a Promotion ???)

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,May 30th,2013

You have got to be kidding me , She gets a promotion ???

… from the Daily Caller (Vince Coglianese)

Obama promotes Benghazi talking points editor to assistant secretary of state

The woman responsible for completely removing references to terrorism from the Benghazi

talking points has been nominated by President Obama to become an assistant secretary

of state.

Victoria Nuland — the State Department spokeswoman who famously altered the talking

points regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 attack — will become assistant secretary of state

for European and Eurasian affairs if the nomination clears the Senate.

It’s a toxic nomination for the president to put forward, particularly as congressional

Republicans hammer the administration for failures in readiness and response to the

attacks in Benghazi, Libya.

Nuland is a central character in those criticisms, having expressed “serious concerns”

about any mention of terrorism.

Four Americans died in the terror attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya

Christopher Stevens.

.. considering the monkeyshines that she was involved in , Victoria Nuland deserves to

be fired , NOW . A promotion ? That is waaaay beyond outrageous ! .

… Are You Kidding Me ?!?! …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Monday,May 27th,2013

Victoria Nuland , the hack who had an active hand in monkeying around with the Benghazi – related talking points , is getting a promotion ???

.. What a joke !

… She deserves an indictment , a conviction , and a loooong prison sentence . Not a new job . What a frickin ‘ joke . A hack gets promoted , while professional and career Foreign Service Officers like Greg Hicks are sent (likely , permanently) to the bench . How ridiculous is that .

[h/t — WhiteHouseDossier.com]

The  State Department spokeswoman who played a pivotal role in deleting portions of the Benghazi talking points has been tapped by President Obama for a plum new post, bagging a nomination to become assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs.

Nuland is a career foreign service officer who had held many high-level positions, including under George W. Bush. But her nomination to handle the European portfolio will likely be seen by Republicans as an example of the president flipping the bird their way.

Senate confirmation in the current environment would seem unlikely, at best.

During the process of whittling the original CIA talking points down, a reference to participation in the Benghazi attack by al Qaeda-linked elements was deleted. Nuland had expressed “serious concerns” about mentioning the terrorists. And she also asserted that including references to previous attacks against foreigners in Benghazi “could be abused by members to beat the State Department for not paying attention to Agency warnings.”

Nuland was particularly aggressive, pursuing the matter until the concerns of her superiors were satisfied.

… What are these ObamaCraps Thinking ??? …

What Are These ObamaCraps Thinking ???

.. A reporter is doing her or his job . Even though , normally , possession of certain material is a very big no – no (ie , illegal) . A reporter , especially one doing their job , is given a certain amount of latitude . It appears that the ObamaCrap Department of InJustice has really done it again .

.. James Rosen is a solid reporter . He is a long – time correspondent for FoxNewsChannel , covering State , Defence , and Intelligence issues . He is not someone who is known for stepping over a line . He has , to my knowledge , a very understated manner , but a very strong professional reputation . How anyone can think of him as the target of any kind of criminal investigation , I do not understand .

.. Well , guess what . Jimmy Rosen , it appears , is on the hot seat . Until now , in secret . The InJustice Department was conducting a criminal investigation , one that you would think would target someone in their own department . Well , no  . They are  going after the media . Again .

.. You think , after the AP imbroglio , they would have learned their lesson . Unfortunately , that appears not to be the case . InJustice is targeting Rosen , but not just him . They are going after another FoxSnooze producer , along with west – coast based correspondent William LaJeunesse . Why ?

.. It appears that they are really mad over getting badly burned on the botched ATF operation that was ” Fast and Furious . ” Well , they are pissed over part and parcel getting out . They are going after a high – profile target . Guess who ! James Rosen .

** here ** read the search warrant affadavit (James Rosen case FNC) for yourself . It is a pdf file , no scribd to fiddle with …

… to quote … [h/t — Newsbusters]

When the Justice Department began investigating possible leaks of classified information about North Korea in 2009, investigators did more than obtain telephone records of a working journalist suspected of receiving the secret material.

They used security badge access records to track the reporter’s comings and goings from the State Department, according to a newly obtained court affidavit. They traced the timing of his calls with a State Department security adviser suspected of sharing the classified report. They obtained a search warrant for the reporter’s personal e – mails.

The case of Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, the government adviser, and James Rosen, the chief Washington correspondent for Fox News, bears striking similarities to a sweeping leaks investigation disclosed last week in which federal investigators obtained records over two months of more than 20 telephone lines assigned to the Associated Press.

… and , to quote … [h/t — the Washington Post]

Obama last week defended the Justice Department’s handling of the investigation involving the AP, which is focused on who leaked information to the news organization about a foiled plot involving the al-Qaeda affiliate in Yemen. AP executives and First Amendment watchdogs have criticized the Justice Department in part for the broad scope of the phone records it secretly subpoenaed from AP offices in Washington, Hartford , Conn., and New York.

“The latest events show an expansion of this law enforcement technique,” said attorney Abbe Lowell, who is defending Kim on federal charges filed in 2010 that he disclosed national defense information. A trial is possible as soon as 2014. “Individual reporters or small time periods have turned into 20 [telephone] lines and months of records with no obvious attempt to be targeted or narrow.”

The president said press freedoms must be balanced against the protection of U.S. personnel overseas. According to the office of Ronald Machen Jr., the U.S. attorney for the District, its prosecutors followed federal regulations by first seeking the information through other means before subpoenaing media phone records. Machen’s office is investigating both the Kim and AP cases. The Justice Department said in a statement that in both cases it had abided by “all applicable laws, regulations, and longstanding Department of Justice policies intended to safeguard the First Amendment interests of the press in reporting the news and the public in receiving it.”

… FoxNewsChannel Statement … [h/t — Twitchy]

” We are outraged to learn today that James Rosen was named a criminal co – conspirator for simply doing his job as a reporter . In  fact , it is downright  chilling . We will unequivocally defend his right to operate as a member of   [what up   unitl now has always been a free press . ]”

.. One should remember , that it remains an open question whether it is ever illegal , for a reporter to solicit information. No reporter, including Rosen, has been prosecuted for doing so .

… In effect , this is criminalizing news reporting . Where the hell is the Department of InJustice going ? What are they doing ? What are  they thinking ? …

… Steve Hayes is Right …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Monday,May 20th,2013

Steve is right

.. I am referring to Steve Hayes of the Weekly Standard . He is more right than he realizes .

.. Yea , we have received 100 pages of White House – released e – mails . However , I most strongly doubt that this is it . There are likely lots more e – mails than that . According to Neil Munro of the [Daily Caller] , there is a 2 day gap in the process . Uh – Huh , the first 2 days , right after the attacks (September 13th & 14th) . The e – mails and the CYA mode start on September 15th .

.. Simple . To reiterate . Release the e = mails . Redact what one must , within reason , for national security reasons . But release the e – mails .

.. ALL OF THEM !! ..

… the ObamaCraps do not like the Hot Seat …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,October 11th,2012

ABC correspondent Jake Tapper during a prime t...

Jake Tapper

… it is getting to be abundantly obvious that the Obama Administration does not like being on the ” hot seat . ” A big part of being in political office is being accountable for one ‘ s actions . These days , that is being increasingly hard to do. Today ‘ s White House Press Briefing is a case in point …

… besides it being the first full scale Press Briefing in a couple of weeks …

… ABC ‘ s chief White House correspondent , Jake Tapper , had the floor , and he went on the attack  …

{info , Breitbart Media , Big Government}

TAPPER: Lieutenant Colonel Wood and Eric Nordstrom, the former regional security officer, have both suggested that there were efforts from the U.S. embassy in Libya to have more security, and the State Department — State Department officials wouldn’t let it happen. Why? Why didn’t the State Department listen to these men on the ground in Libya who wanted there to be more security?

CARNEY: Jake, as I said, there is no question that the result of what happened in Benghazi is not acceptable. Four Americans killed is not an acceptable situation, and that is why the president moved so quickly to ensure that an investigation was launched to bring the perpetrators to justice, the killers to justice, and a review was launched at the State Department to look at our security posture at the Bengali — I mean, not Bengali — at the Benghazi facility and elsewhere.

You know, those matters are under investigation. They are also being discussed in a public hearing on Capitol Hill today by the individuals and officials, both career and otherwise, who know the specifics of that. What I can tell you is what the president’s interest is in. He is very interested in bringing the perpetrators to justice and ensuring that we find out what happened, why it happened and taking steps to ensure that it never happens again.

TAPPER: Well, it’s been roughly a month. You have absolutely no idea why it happened? You don’t know why the State Department — (inaudible)?

CARNEY: Well, I think — I think, as we’re hearing on Capitol Hill today, we have learned a great deal as this investigation has progressed, and we have been very clear about what we have known at different stages of this process over the last several weeks and what we have yet to learn and the fact that at each stage, the investigation continues, and more facts may be developed that change our understanding of what happened. State Department officials are on Capitol Hill today being very clear about what we know now based on the several weeks of investigation that have taken place. They are also making clear that the investigation continues and that the Accountability Review Board that is looking into the issues of diplomatic security is continuing its work. You know, I’m not prepared to preview the results of an investigation that — or a review that have — that are not yet complete or to second-guess what the experts in the field are going to conclude.

Ouch !!
