Posted by paulfromwloh on Saturday,November 26th,2016

.. it seems that the Palestinian Authority [the P.A.] is at it again …

.. in any other time , they would not even try to pull this …

.. it is a resolution that would normally pass the Security Council . The big question is our own country . Normally , a veto at the U.N.S.C. is an easy call to expect . But , remember , we have the First Wuss in the President ‘ s Mansion . So , ….

.. he will not vote in favour , but he also may not veto the resolution , either . So , it will take effect . To what effect , lord knows ….

— [update] — the U.S. voted against , but did not veto the resolution . Boy , did the First Wuss look weak and disgusting in this one ….

… the ObamaCraps did What [#apologize for US cops]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,October 4th,2016

.. yeah , the ObamaCraps appeared before that so – called august body of idiocy , the U.N. Human Rights Council . Many of these members of this council have horrendous reputations , are terrorists , are dictatorships , or otherwise do no know the meaning of the word ” human rights . ” Yet the ObamaCraps laid themselves prostrate before these idiots …

So our police officers have nothing to be ashamed of , and they can be proud of what they have achieved on the job …

… the ObamaCraps could not be This Stupid [#the P.A. at the U.N.]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Friday,June 17th,2016

.. the ObamaCraps have hinted at a policy change . You might be surprised at how stupid a policy change that it might be ..

.. given what the ” think ” were PM Bibi ‘ s comments late in his election campaign , the ObamaCraps are pretty ticked off . Even more so than you might realize . Those dummies are thinking of turning a blind eye to certain acts of the P.A. at the U.N. …

.. [link] to the blog editorial ..

.. normally , final recognition of Palestine as a state is a ” dead letter ” at the U.N. Security Council . The other members [friend or foe] realize that any attempt to do so would attract an automatic U.S. veto . So would a resolution ordering Israel to ” withdraw ” to the pre – 1967 borders . That one would also include the evacuation of eastern Jerusalem. Such an act would be a betrayal of Israel …

.. however , the ObamaCraps are actually thinking of doing this . They actually think that they can do this without consequence . Well , they are wrong . The fiercest consequences would not be in Israel . The Israelis would be pissed off enough .

.. the biggest impact would be here in the U.S. . You would likely see a Congressional move to substantially cut down funding for the U.N. . There might even be a debate over a complete cutoff of funding . A complete cutoff would not pass , but it would scare the hell out of the U.N. and its membership …

… Why Sign This Treaty ?!?!

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,September 25th,2013

.. I am referring to the Arms Trade Treaty . Apparently , SecState JohnBoy Kerry is going to sign this treaty , at POTUS ‘ direction . Why bother ?

.. Dumb – Dumbs , there are 60 confirmed NO votes against the treaty . You need a 2/3 majority of all senators [67 of 100] to approve a treaty under our Consitution . Also , these treaties become the law of the land only when approved , not before . They are also subservient to the Constitution . If there is a conflict between the treaty and the U.S. Constitution , the Constitution holds sway , folks .

… from Hot Air …

The Senate won’t ratify the UN’s arms control treaty, but John Kerry is going to sign it anyway

posted at 6:01 pm on September 24, 2013 by Erika Johnsen

Obama administration officials already signaled that they have every intention of ignoring the wishes and demands of the legislature on this one earlier this year, but the now infamous United Nations’ Arms Trade Treaty is finally just about finished after years of political meandering and John Kerry is all set to put his pen to paper. Via Fox News:

Secretary of State John Kerry plans to sign a controversial U.N. treaty on arms regulation on Wednesday, a senior State Department official told Fox News — despite warnings from lawmakers that the Senate will not ratify the agreement.

A State official said the treaty would “reduce the risk that international transfers of conventional arms will be used to carry out the world’s worst crimes,” while protecting gun rights.

“The treaty builds on decades of cooperative efforts to stem the international, illegal, and illicit trade in conventional weapons that benefits terrorists and rogue agents,” the official said. …

What impact the treaty will have in curbing the estimated $60 billion global arms trade remains to be seen. The U.N. treaty will take effect after 50 countries ratify it, and a lot will depend on which ones ratify and which ones don’t, and how stringently it is implemented.

The United Nations and their notoriously poor record at accomplishing much of anything besides mass corruption and the legitimization of dictators still isn’t sure what the impact of the treaty will be and how stringently it will be implemented? Man, that inspires some major confidence. Yeah, let’s sign that.

You’ll recall that the Senate, also earlier this year, signaled their outright opposition to the United States’ joining the treaty and their disinclination to ratify the thing by the necessary two-thirds majority:

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) introduced an amendment that would prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty in order to uphold the Second Amendment. His amendment passed on a 53-46 vote.

Republicans have been critical of President Obama’s decision to consider the treaty, although Obama has said he would not vote for anything that would violate the Second Amendment. …

“We’re negotiating a treaty that cedes our authority to have trade agreements with our allies in terms of trading arms,” Inhofe said. “This is probably the last time this year that you’ll be able to vote for your Second Amendment rights.”

But let that not stop the Obama administration in going right along with globalist bureaucrats insisting that there is no way in heck that this treaty could ever be abused to squash individual rights or back the United States into a corner on foreign-policy strategy — it’s just to help deter terrorism and violence, guys, really!

.. LEC again — the only way that these treaties truly get enforced is when the democracies sign on , and their democratic institutions make their governments (and others , with policy leverage) obey the law . These agreements are one big joke in the authortarian naitons and the dictatorships , unless the democracies have leverage over them and lean on them HARD …

… Where is U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power ?!?! …

.. and what is she not doing ?!?!

.. it is abundantly clear that the Bashaar Assad regime in Syria has made use of chemical weapons in its civil war . POTUS had , at a time , set forth some sort of “red line” that the use of chemical weapons would be a “game changer . ” Well , guess what happened ?

.. You got it . Nothing . Absolutely Nothing . Also , our new U.N. Ambassador , Samantha Power , was AWOL from an urgent U.N. Security Council meeting . Not that anything of consequence would have happened . There would not have been a damn thing . Not with the Russkies and the Chinese running blocker for the bad guys of the world at the U.N. . Especially with a wus in the White House .

.. Yes , a Wus in the White House . That is exactly what we have for a POTUS . At least with George W. Bush , you knew where you stood on the international stage . We were respected , and our word was good . With Barack Obama , we look weak , feckless , indecisive , and leaderless … even if you-know-who understood the meaning of the damn word .

… Should We Have Dual Citizenship ?!?! …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,August 22nd,2013

..Should American citizens be permitted to hold dual citizenship ? One American — and the other in the country of their birth or ethnic origin? Or for that matter, any second country regardless of the reason?

..Mexico allows its citizens to retain Mexican citizenship , even if they become naturalized American citizens. Mexico isn’t alone

Official Portrait of President Ronald Reagan

either. It is among some 60-plus countries — like the Canada of Cruz’s birth — that do the same.

.. Isn’t it time to abolish the antiquated notion of dual citizenship? A reality that by definition requires a dual loyalty — to America and another Country ?

.. And , if not, then shouldn’t Americans — citizens of the only country in the world built not on an ethnic identity but an idea — have the right to vote in every other country on the globe?

.. The real notion of the “ United Nations ” is not the handful of people with titles . The ones that are crowded into that glass building on the banks of the East River in Manhattan. The real United Nations is in fact our own county , the United States of America. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, as of July 1, 2013, America is the third most populous country in the world, with over 316 million people in its resident population. That population is made up entirely — 100% — of human beings from every other country on Planet Earth.

.. Only America is composed of Iraqis and Iranians, Russians and Poles, Muslims, Jews and Christians, Mexicans and Brazilians, the Irish and the Italians and the Germans and the Japanese and Koreans, Chinese, Cubans, Indians, Pakistanis, and so on and on endlessly. Notably, this conglomeration of races and ethnicities results in the inevitable intermarriages.

.. In a very real sense, America is a nation of mutts. With every race and ethnicity, not to mention religion, marrying every other race, ethnicity and religion. It is extremely common for an average American to have several national identities flowing through his or her bloodstream.

.. Every other country on the globe… is based on nationality.

.. Except America. America alone is based on an idea.

But why focus just on Mexico? Just because Mexico sits on the U.S. southern border is no reason to single it out.

..From “A” for “Albania” to “U” for United Kingdom” some 60 countries play the game the U.S. allows of dual citizenship. This includes countries in Central and South America like El Salvador and Colombia, whose citizens are among those counted in the stream of illegals pouring over the Mexican border. It includes countries friendly — Israel, Britain, France, Switzerland — and countries who are a foe. The most prominent on that list Iran, a place that the U.S. has had poisoned relations with since Jimmy Carter was president.

.. In many of those cases , it is because when one emigrates , one ‘ s native country still considers one to be a citizen . That status is by birth . It is difficult  to imposssible to renounce  it .

..  Then there are those countries — friend and foe alike — that forbid dual citizenship: Japan, North Korea, China, Saudi Arabia among them. It is particularly striking that on this list are countries who maintain some version of ethnic or religious purity in their populations.

.. the real United Nations in this world isn’t in that building on the East River. The real United Nations is America itself. There is, in reality, no such thing as “Native Americans” much less a “native American.” Whether you were born last year in Pittsburgh or are descended from somebody who trudged over an Alaskan land bridge thousands of years ago, once upon a time “America” was empty of human beings. From the moment “Native Americans” began pouring into this empty North American continent thousands of years ago, America has been the magnet for the world’s immigrants.

.. I would say no , but I am not totally sure . Where the status is without birthright , the decision is easy . yes , definitely . When it is conferred by birth , then ? It is h . We can , but the native nation still considers it .

… Cuba , North Korea , and the Chong Chon Gang [NK arms smuggling] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,July 23rd,2013

North Korea and weapons of mass destruction

North Korea and weapons of mass destruction (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

.. this article (an editorial) needs no commentary …

Miami Herald Editorial HeraldEd@MiamiHerald.com

The seizure in Panama of the Chong Chon Gang, a rusty old North Korean ship carrying last century’s Soviet-era weapons from Cuba hidden under 250,000 sacks of brown sugar, may seem to have the wacky trappings of a  Gilligan’s Island episode with a Cold War flashback that includes a rioting crew and a captain threatening to kill himself when Panamanian soldiers boarded his ship. But as the ship’s containers begin to be cleared of the 100-pound bags of sugar and the weapons systems are exposed and analyzed by experts, no one’s laughing. The case for maintaining a tough line on North Korea and Cuba has been strengthened.

The Obama administration, which has spent years tossing carrots at both communist countries, keeps finding that neither wants to nibble. They’re too busy, after all, plotting against the United States and the United Nations.

Any talk of removing the communist island from the State Department’s terror list remains a fool’s errand when faced with more evidence of Cuba’s role as a pass-through for every renegade nation and terrorist group that seeks harbor there.

The Cuban and North Korean communist dictatorships maintain Cuba was sending “obsolete defensive weapons” for repairs in North Korea so that Cuba can “protect its sovereignty.” Among the 240 metric tons of weapons are two anti-aircraft missile systems, nine missiles “in parts and spares,” two Mig-21 bis jet fighters and 15 engines, the Cubans say.

But if the weapons are obsolete why repair them? In fact, a key radar component of the SA-2 surface-to-air defense system on the ship can still be used once upgraded to ward off newer Western systems that can disable the old SA-2, surface-to-air missiles designed for higher elevations like North Korea’s. Were these weapons headed for North Korea to spruce up for its own use now that neighboring China has toughened its position against Pyongyang?

North Korea’s arms deal with Cuba violates United Nations security resolutions that prohibit the Asian renegade from dealing in arms. The U.N. Security Council imposed sanctions against North Korea after its first illegal nuclear test in 2006 and again in 2009, sanctions that authorize inspections of ships at sea. Yet North Korea was removed from the U.S. State Department’s terror list in 2008 after it agreed to international inspection of its nuclear program. Time has shown that this promise was made to be broken.

U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and past chair, is right to call for North Korea to be put back on the terror list. And those hoping to get Cuba pulled off the terror list should have gotten their wake-up call about the Castro brothers’ ill will, too.

As Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Robert Menendez noted, “Weapons transfers from one communist regime to another hidden under sacks of sugar are not accidental occurrences and reinforce the necessity that Cuba remain on the State Department’s list of countries that sponsor state terrorism. In addition to possible violations of Panamanian law, the shipment almost certainly violated United Nations Security Council sanctions on shipments of weapons to North Korea and as such, I call on the Obama administration to submit this case to the U.N. Security Council for review.”

This is no time to be chummy with rogue regimes. Keep Cuba where it belongs — on the terror list — and add North Korea to the membership because both countries have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted.

… You Have Got to be Kidding … Cha , Cha , Cha …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,June 5th,2013

.. Tom Donilon , the master leaker and political hack , out . Susan Rice , from the UN to the NSC . Samantha Power , a longtime veteran leftwing loon anarchist , from the depts of the NSC , to be our U. S. Ambassador to the U. N. .

.. You have got to be kidding ?!?!

WASHINGTON (AP) — A White House official says President Barack Obama will name former aide Samantha Power as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

Power will replace Susan Rice, who will take over as Obama’s national security adviser. The official says Obama will announce both appointments from the White House Wednesday afternoon.

Power is a longtime Obama adviser who worked on his 2008 presidential campaign and ran the human rights office in the White House. She left the administration in February but was considered the favorite to replace Rice at the U.N.

The official insisted on anonymity in order to confirm the appointment before it was publicly announced.

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama’s top national security adviser Tom Donilon is resigning . He will be replaced  by U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice , marking a significant  shakeup to the White House foreign policy team.  A White House official confirmed the personnel changes Wednesday  morning ahead of a planned announcement by the president later in the day.

Donilon has been a key foreign policy adviser to Obama since he             first took office. But the 58-year-old had been expected to depart             sometime this year, with Rice seen as the likely candidate to             replace him.             Rice, a close Obama confidante, came under withering criticism from             Republicans as part of the investigations into the deadly attack on             a U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. Rice, relying on talking points             from the intelligence community, said in television interviews that             the attacks were likely spontaneous, which was later proven             incorrect.             Obama considered nominating Rice as his second-term secretary of             state, but she withdrew amid the GOP criticism, saying she didn’t             want her confirmation fight to be a distraction for the White House.             Her new post as national security adviser does not require Senate             confirmation.             The White House official said Donilon is expected to stay on the job             until early July, after Obama wraps up two overseas trips and a             summit later this week with Chinese President Xi Jinping.             The official insisted on anonymity in order to discuss the personnel             changes before they were publicly announced.

… and the reaction , from a video clip , from RealClearPolitics …

..JAMES CARVILLE : ” My guess is that he wanted her to be Secretary of State , and he felt like she kind of got railroaded there and this is kind of in your face

appointment, but he obviously thinks a great deal of Ambassador Rice. Like I say , he wanted her to be Secretary of State. She’s not confirmable and it ‘ s like a message that he’s going to stick by. He views her as a competent person and probably as a friend of his. You know, I think it’s an in your face appointment and he feels good about making it . ”
