… John Podesta should be Fired …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,December 19th,2013

.. you may wonder , why ?

.. when an ass such as this makes comments such as this …

.. in an interview with Politico ‘ s Glen Thrush , Podesta compared the GOP to a ” massive suicidal cult , ” in particular , the Reverend Jim Jones and his crew that committed mass suicide in November of 1978 ..

.. quote from the relevent story text ..

This is not just about providing added muscle to a beleaguered and undermanned  West Wing staff. According to interviews in recent weeks with an array of Obama  insiders and a dozen current and former senior aides, Podesta’s  hire is explicitly meant to shake things up inside the White House. In effect, I  was told, it represents the clearest sign to date of the administration’s  interest in shifting the paradigm of Obama’s presidency through the forceful,  unapologetic and occasionally provocative application of White House power.  Podesta, whose official mandate includes enforcement of numerous executive  orders on emissions and the environment, suggested as much when  he spoke with me earlier this fall about Obama’s team. “They need to focus on  executive action given that they are facing a second term against a cult worthy  of Jonestown in charge of one of the houses of Congress,” he told me.

… No Kidding , Chris [FNC on Shutdown] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,October 6th,2013

Although President Barack Obama has said that negotiating over the debt ceiling would be unprecedented, Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace isn’t buying it.

[link] — video to the piece …

“The White House keeps saying, the president says this has never happened before, we’ve never had a negotiation on the debt

limit,” Wallace told POLITICO for this week’s “Turn the Table” series. “That’s bull. It just isn’t true.”
“They’ve had negotiations over the debt limit sometimes on related budget issues, sometimes on completely unrelated issues for years.”

“When you look at the dynamics of what’s going on inside the Republican caucus, I don’t think they’re there yet and ready to give anything up. And if you go out and listen to the public words of Sen. Reid and the president, there’s no give there either.”

… Ha!Ha! A High Schooler makes a fool …

.. out of White House Press Secretary Jay Carney .

.. Nice one Tucker Carlson (the impressario of the Daily Caller) ! …

[h/t — Matt Puple , TAS , and Tucker Carlson , the Daily Caller ] [link here]

When I first heard that a high schooler had asked Jay Carney a question at yesterday’s White House press conference, I figured David Gregory was filling in for Chuck Todd.

But no. Apparently an actual high schooler – an intern for the Daily Caller named Gabe Finger – was unexpectedly called on by Carney:

Daily Caller founder Tucker Carlson is having a blast attacking these people and defending Finger’s question, which he says was substantive. He’s right, and it’s a shame that it was, because a substance-free question asked by a high schooler and then dodged by Jay Carney would be the perfect distillation of the modern White House press conference. For years now, White House reporters have been herded into a pen to ask often-silly questions, only to have even their most vacuous inquiries go unanswered by the immovable Carney, and Robert Gibbs before him. The entire affair has become a masquerade, with everyone playing their part and no one ever learning anything, mined for drama by Washington publications like Politico and fastidiously ignored everywhere else in the country. A quick scan of yesterday’s transcript finds Carney back-slapping Harry Reid in his first answer, referring a reporter to the DOJ in his second (Carney spends a lot of time referring reporters to the DOJ), and giving press-release statements about Syria in his third and fourth. It’s this proud tradition to which Gabe Finger has brought shame.

… from a news report that caught my eye …

Obama Senior Adviser Complains That The Drudge Report ‘Hurts What We’re Trying To Do’

Brett LoGiurato [BI] |Apr. 3rd , 2013

White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said Wednesday that the prominent Drudge Report

website “hurts” the White House’s message because of its dominating effect on the news

cycle.   Pfeiffer said that he was “ambivalent” to what Matt Drudge links to on his website, but

he lamented that the site led to a “Pavlovian response” from reporters.   “Anyone saying anything can get caught up in the spin cycle in a way that is very

damaging,” Pfeiffer said at a Politico Playbook breakfast with Mike Allen. “It hurts

what we’re trying to do, but then it is very damaging to that individual person.”   Pfeiffer said that he’ll often be approached by reporters who say they have a question

strictly because “it’s on Drudge.”   “What do you say to that?” Allen asked him.   “I sort of ask them to repeat themselves — say that to themselves out loud again and

think about it,” Pfeiffer said. “And everyone’s always a little embarrassed about it

and says, ‘My boss — my assignment editor’s on me about this.'”

… to that , I say , goo , goo , ga , ga , waaaaah !!
