… If the ObamaCraps are willing to Supply these Electronic Features to Egypt [#and other Nations][#surveillance][#technology]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Friday,December 9th,2016

.. according to this intel report , the ObamaCraps are considering [and are likely to supply] the support of Egypt , Tunisia , and Israel with border control technology . It is not exactly cheap , either . The intel estimate is around $100 million to $500 million . My guess is that it is going to cost about 10 to 20 times that amount , or about $8 billion to $10 billion …

.. You had better believe that this request is going to go to Congress . It is an important appropriation . You are taking about some serious scratch , well above these countries ‘ annual aid request , espc. Egypt ‘ s . Tunisia right now barely gets anything at all . Also , the ObamaCraps like to play games with the aid that goes to Israel in order to swend a political message to Bib . So doing this means they are likely to put that aside [for once] for the greater good of battling ISIL ..

.. [h/t — DebkaFiles.com]..
.. [link] to the intelligence report ..

.. Israel can help fund this on its own . Egypt can help , but even it needs help . The Tunisians need a ton of help .. Also , all three countries are seafaring nations , so that also has to be considered , as well ..

.. at least these dummies are considering getting off their butts for once . No , they are not considering sending US troops , at least not yet . But they are at least will to send some US personnel in order to train these folks in order to help themselves . That is , for once , at least , a big switch …

.. you can bet the Hill [Congress] is going to have questions . Lots of them . Including ones about our own southern border …

.. and , boy , is the cost from this stinker going to be a doozy ..

.. guess who is going to get the bill for this blunder ? No , not the old mine owner . They did exactly what they were supposed to do , and then some , They built a sound tailings pond to hold the dirty holdings and contaminated water from the mine . They also sealed it off from the surrounding environment . They were not required to , but they did ..

.. So , who does get the bill ? You got it , the U.S. Taxpayer . This blunder was all on the E.P.A. . Those idiots , and their contractor , went to check on the damn to the tailings pont . So , what did those dummies do ?? They breached it , and released the ENTIRE contents of the pond ..

.. Nice going , Dummies ! The cost of this megastinker is going to make the fallout from past disasters like Love Canal look like a walk in the part . The effect is going to be looonnnng … like all the way to the Colorado River , to L.A. , and thus dragging in Mexico . Boy , are the Mexicans gonna be pissed about it …

… Should We Have Dual Citizenship ?!?! …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,August 22nd,2013

..Should American citizens be permitted to hold dual citizenship ? One American — and the other in the country of their birth or ethnic origin? Or for that matter, any second country regardless of the reason?

..Mexico allows its citizens to retain Mexican citizenship , even if they become naturalized American citizens. Mexico isn’t alone

Official Portrait of President Ronald Reagan

Official Portrait of President Ronald Reagan (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

either. It is among some 60-plus countries — like the Canada of Cruz’s birth — that do the same.

.. Isn’t it time to abolish the antiquated notion of dual citizenship? A reality that by definition requires a dual loyalty — to America and another Country ?

.. And , if not, then shouldn’t Americans — citizens of the only country in the world built not on an ethnic identity but an idea — have the right to vote in every other country on the globe?

.. The real notion of the “ United Nations ” is not the handful of people with titles . The ones that are crowded into that glass building on the banks of the East River in Manhattan. The real United Nations is in fact our own county , the United States of America. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, as of July 1, 2013, America is the third most populous country in the world, with over 316 million people in its resident population. That population is made up entirely — 100% — of human beings from every other country on Planet Earth.

.. Only America is composed of Iraqis and Iranians, Russians and Poles, Muslims, Jews and Christians, Mexicans and Brazilians, the Irish and the Italians and the Germans and the Japanese and Koreans, Chinese, Cubans, Indians, Pakistanis, and so on and on endlessly. Notably, this conglomeration of races and ethnicities results in the inevitable intermarriages.

.. In a very real sense, America is a nation of mutts. With every race and ethnicity, not to mention religion, marrying every other race, ethnicity and religion. It is extremely common for an average American to have several national identities flowing through his or her bloodstream.

.. Every other country on the globe… is based on nationality.

.. Except America. America alone is based on an idea.

But why focus just on Mexico? Just because Mexico sits on the U.S. southern border is no reason to single it out.

..From “A” for “Albania” to “U” for United Kingdom” some 60 countries play the game the U.S. allows of dual citizenship. This includes countries in Central and South America like El Salvador and Colombia, whose citizens are among those counted in the stream of illegals pouring over the Mexican border. It includes countries friendly — Israel, Britain, France, Switzerland — and countries who are a foe. The most prominent on that list Iran, a place that the U.S. has had poisoned relations with since Jimmy Carter was president.

.. In many of those cases , it is because when one emigrates , one ‘ s native country still considers one to be a citizen . That status is by birth . It is difficult  to imposssible to renounce  it .

..  Then there are those countries — friend and foe alike — that forbid dual citizenship: Japan, North Korea, China, Saudi Arabia among them. It is particularly striking that on this list are countries who maintain some version of ethnic or religious purity in their populations.

.. the real United Nations in this world isn’t in that building on the East River. The real United Nations is America itself. There is, in reality, no such thing as “Native Americans” much less a “native American.” Whether you were born last year in Pittsburgh or are descended from somebody who trudged over an Alaskan land bridge thousands of years ago, once upon a time “America” was empty of human beings. From the moment “Native Americans” began pouring into this empty North American continent thousands of years ago, America has been the magnet for the world’s immigrants.

.. I would say no , but I am not totally sure . Where the status is without birthright , the decision is easy . yes , definitely . When it is conferred by birth , then ? It is h . We can , but the native nation still considers it .

… It is LawFare , Plain and Simple [on Immigration] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,August 11th,2013

.. Lawfare is an unusual term . Most folks are not all that familiar with it . Basically , what it is is using the system to wage legal war against the system itself .

.. It has been done for years . The Anachist Communist Lunatics Union has been at it for decades . Other players are more recent converts to the cause . Take note of this …

What are Those Idiots Thinking ??!?!

.. I am talking about theose idiots at the Depatarment of homeland Security !

.. Amazingly , they are trying their level best on how to not manage the nation ‘ s immigration law . One can support the ideal of the DREAM Act . i am somewhat lukewarm on it . But it is not the job of DHS to grossly misuse and abuse proseuctorial discretion to change the law .

.. Prosecutorial Disccretion is a valued hallmark of our judicial system . We can just not simply attempt to try each and every civil and criminal case . In cannot be done . Different prosecutors have different priorities . However , you make choices , set priorities , and work to make the  system work .  AT least , that is how it is supposed to wrok .

.. However , P.D.  (for short) involves enforcing the law . The entire body of law . Even when you make choices , you are enforcing the body of law (civil and criminal) as a whole . Most of all , you are not trying or ateempting by administrative fiat , to change the law . That act is the province of Congress . The President and his or her administration is charged with enforcing the law . For him or her , it is their duty . For the Presidential Oath is by itself , stated in the Constitution . All other federal officials , including military officers , admin officials , judges , and the Vice President , take the exact same oath . POTUS does not . He (or she) shall take care “that the laws be faithfully executed ” is how it is stated . That discretion does not allow for POTUS (or admin officials , at her or his direction) to change the law by fiat . That is the most obscene and gross misuse of power , and the act of a dictator .

.. What is going on out at the border is a disgrace . This article , from Brietbart Media (Big Government) is a simple example of how things at the border are getting waaay out of hand . It will backfire on them , and spectacularly so ….

KSAZ reports the new tactic could easily overwhelm the immigration system, quoting immigration attorney and former immigration official Pete Nunez:

“To make our system even more ridiculous than it has been in the past,” he adds. “There are no detention facilities for families, so the family would have to be split up. We don’t want to split families up, so we end up releasing people out into the community on bond, on bail.”
Nunez says, “It’s a huge loophole.”

“There has to be a policy change, something implemented, an emergency implementation that will stop this, or otherwise we will have thousands coming in.”

The goal, however, may be to overwhelm the system. This apparent new tactic comes on the heels of widely publicized activism by a group called ‘The Dream 9‘ who also used a claim of asylum to gain re-entry to the country. As leftist organization Colorlines

reported last week:

All nine of the activists have now established credible fear, a step toward an asylum hearing. Supporters are now hoping the Dream 9 will be eligible for parole, which would allow them to return to the United States until their asylum hearing dates.

This connection between the ‘Dream 9’ and the tactic of asylum was made by Spanish-language news source La Opiniòn. They report (translation by Google Translation) in an article entitled

El asilo se volvió un sueño(in English: The asylum becomes a dream):

Following the release of nine Dreamers prisoners in Arizona, after a protest at the border, others have taken the path of asylum as a way to solve their deportation.

Media reports in San Diego are reporting that “hundreds of foreigners are trying to enter the country in the same way” and even that immigrants are being taught to use key phrases that they can stay in the country.

Reports tell of cases in the Port of Entry Otay Mesa, where 199 people have argued a ‘credible fear “to the drug cartels in Mexico.

And the validation of Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) of the status of “credible fear”, which allowed young people to stay at home and return to their families seems to have generated more of a headache for Immigration.

La Opiniòn goes on to quote Marshall Fitz, the immigration policy expert the liberal Center for American Progress, who points out that many would not qualify and it’s not a good ‘long term strategy’ for those attempting to cross the border.

… Immigration should Increase [Legally] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,August 11th,2013

.. but , it should be legal immigration , not of the illegal variety . If there is going to be an immigration bill , it should take a multiple of forms . Most of which , they should be able to add skilled immigrants , not the low – skilled kind . As well as investors , and STEM (science , technology , engineering , math) . These folks are far more likely to be from nations that are more accepting of conservative ideas and conservative thought .

.. Doing so would eventually , one would hope , choke off the flow of illegals , and limit the family reunifications to immediate family only . These immigrants would be , hopefully , far more likely to be independents , or , better yet , GOP friendly …

… You can thank Homeland Security for This Idiocy …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,August 11th,2013

.. news such that from these is outrageous .

.. The drug cartels (in Mexico) present a significant security threat . Not just to the Mexican people , but to the people of the United States . it is without doubt that the cartels have contacts with gangs , with the remains of the Mafia , and other groups throughout our country . However , their effect remains muted , at least in our country .

.. Even so , in Mexico , their country has evolved , and has grown . Mexico has not emerged into the First World , but its time is coming . Its economy is becoming far more diverse , and industrial , as well as service and information – based . It is most definitely not an “oil” economy , not anymore . Even their oil sector is beginning to reform itself . Amazing , by Mexican standards , considering how rife with corruption that Petroleonos Mexicanos (or , PEMEX) has been for decades . It has never gotten as rife with violence and drug gang control as Columbia did a generation ago.

.. However , one cannot discout the drug cartel threat . They are ongoing and continuing threat , on both sides of the border . It most definitely does not justify what is happening right now on the border , especially with the immigration debate that is underway .

.. Homeland Security has created a huge new loophole . Either by its actions , or by its lack of action . There is no excuse for it . None , at all . Period . They are acting as if they are waving “ole” at the border , and allowing a new flood of illegals in . Their actions will backfire . Spectacularly .

… this piece is from KSAZ (Fox–Phoenix,AZ) …

SAN DIEGO –

A loophole is allowing hundreds of immigrants across the Mexico border in to the United States.
Immigrants are being taught to use “key words and phrases” to be allowed to enter and stay in the country.

Just this past Monday, Border Patrol agents say about 200 people came through the Otay Crossing claiming a quote: “credible fear” of the drug cartels.

So many were doing this that they had to close down the processing center and move the overflow by vans to another station.

“They are being told if they come across the border, when they come up to the border and they say certain words, they  will be allowed into the country,” said a person who did not want to be identified on camera.  “We are being overwhelmed.”

Pete Nunez, former U.S. Attorney and immigration expert says, “This will swamp the system.”
Immigrants are telling the Port Enforcement Team — or P.E.T. — that the cartels are ripping apart their state.

There’s no word on whether this same loophole is being used in Arizona.

Sudden Flood of Asylum Requests at U.S./Mexico Border

At the Otay crossing near the San Diego border last Monday, about 200 people coming from Mexico gained entry to the United States all using the same key phrase; they claimed they had a ‘credible fear’ of drug cartels. According to KSAZ FoxPheonix:

So many were doing this that they had to close down the processing center and move the overflow by vans to another station.

“They are being told if they come across the border, when they come up to the border and they say certain words, they  will be allowed into the country,” said a person who did not want to be identified on camera.  “We are being overwhelmed.”

This apparent new shift in tactics to enter the United States comes at a time when the Associated Press is reporting a spike in the number of asylum requests in the past few years:

According draft testimony for USCIS Associate Director Joseph Langlois that was to be submitted for a congressional hearing on asylum requests last month, USCIS received more than 19,119 asylum requests through the end of May. The agency anticipates receiving more than 28,600 by the end of the fiscal year.

According to the testimony, during the 2009 budget year the agency received just 5,369 such requests.

However, this new phenomenon is out of all proportion, even with this spike. To put those numbers in perspective with the 200 people making asylum requests on one day at one border crossing, 200 people a day equals 73,000 people a year — close to three times the total number received all year, at all border crossings.

KSAZ reports the new tactic could easily overwhelm the immigration system, quoting immigration attorney and former immigration official Pete Nunez:

“To make our system even more ridiculous than it has been in the  past,” he adds. “There are no detention facilities for families, so the family would have to be split up. We don’t want to split families up, so we end up releasing people out into the community on bond, on bail.” Nunez says, “It’s a huge loophole.”

“There has to be a policy change, something implemented, an emergency implementation that will stop this, or otherwise we will have thousands coming in.”

The goal, however, may be to overwhelm the system. This apparent new tactic comes on the heels of widely publicized activism by a group called ‘The Dream 9’ who also used a claim of asylum to gain re-entry to the country. As leftist organization Colorlines reported last week:

… Can the Castro Regime (in Cuba) survive without Chavez ?? …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,July 25th,2013

[-] passing of Castros
soon , Fidel and Rauol will be gone . It will likely bring a new generation of leaders to the fore . These folks will not be as wedded to the Communism of the Castros , and will be forced into reforms .
[-] spreading of “special zones”
the need for more internally generated $$ will force the regime to open up . the needs to meet the demands of the surrounding democratic powers (Mexico , Canada , & yes , the U.S.) will force it .

More and more special zones will be created . it will create problems with corruption , but it will also create opportunities . The needs of the zones , plus the needs of the new players , will force the regime to open state firms to competitors . And the state firms will not last long against the competition , unless they reform themselves , and find a way to survive .

[-] economic realities of 21st century economy
Cuba is stuck in a 1950s to early 1960s economy . Eventually , the need for change will force them to join everyone else in the 21st century .

[-] Maduro ‘ s eventual fall
Nicolas Maduro will not last long . The corruption , and an eventual decline in oil prices (in part from fracking in the U.S.) , and the lack of investment $$ in the Orinoco region (which is itself frackable oil) will  bring Maduro down by a coup , and then new and free elections , which will publicize the Chavezcista corruption , and sweep away the socialism , including the support of Cuba & other nations .

[-] both nation ‘ s fear of the Church
Cuba has never been able to fully combat the power of the Catholic Church . If they cannot , do you think that Venezuela can . You have to be nuts to think so .

..Despite the rhetoric of the Chavistas, the Cuba-Venezuela relationship is decidedly lopsided. It is mostly a relationship of convenience that seems decidedly biased toward Cuba. Official Cuba has worried that the post-Chavez era would see the end of this special relationship. Their anxieties were exacerbated by the close margin of victory Chavez acolyte Nicolas Maduro received, and the fact that his challenger Henrique Capriles made the alliance an election issue.  Maduro traveled to Havana to meet with the regime to reassure them of his commitment to Commandante Chavez’s vision of an enduring alliance.  The next Venezuelan presidential election could change this calculation. Since the Cuban public doesn’t enjoy the freedom to choose its leaders, any changes to the alliance will almost certainly happen only as a result of Venezuela’s voters having a change of heart. Until then, two of the most intolerant and repressive regimes in the Americas will maintain their relationship addiction with the citizenry paying the highest price.
