7 Blockbuster Obamacare Charts That the White House Doesn’t Want America to See

Remember all those promises that were made to sell Obamacare? Like lowering premiums for a family of 4 by $2,500 a year, allowing people to keep their plans and their doctors, not adding a dime to the deficit, and all of that?

Well, let’s just see how much of a striking success “Obamacare” is based on the numbers so far. The Heritage Foundation created these charts based on the HHS’ own numbers, the CBO’s, and the Kaiser Family Foundation’s.

1.Young People’s Premiums are Jacked Up

Premiums_Age27If you’re a young person, you’re pretty much screwed. Not only will you be paying higher premiums to subsidize your elders, you will be paying more taxes over your lifetime to pay back the loans we’re accruing just to pay for this boondoggle. You’re welcome, right?

2. Family of Four – Your Premiums Did Not Drop $2,500/Yr.

CP-Obamacare-in-Pictures-5_HIGHRES

So… Mr. Smooth was going to save a family of four $2,500 a year in premiums, as promised so many times it’s laughable. About that… a family of four is likely to get an increase in premiums, and in addition, basically anyone who wants to work and live the American Dream will be penalized with higher taxes.

3. New Taxes for Everybody!

CP-Obamacare-in-Pictures-11_HIGHRESSpeaking of taxes, check out these bad boys. Not just one, but 18 new taxes lumped into one giant bill that should be called “Obamatax.” Hey, it’s not a tax! Oh yeah, well, now it is.

4. Raiders of the Lost Medicare

Medicarecuts

You would think from all the hysteria nowadays about Medicaid expansion to the states that this was the main purpose of Obamacare – to spread a huge soviet-style welfare program to as many homes as possible (and let those who are on it tell ya about the amazin’ service while they’re at it!) Anyway, let’s frame some of that left-wing hypocrisy by pointing out Obamacare’s massive cuts to another government program – Medicare.

5. You Like Higher Deductibles? Well, Obamacare’s Got ‘Em!

CP-Obamacare-in-Pictures-6_HIGHRES

Now, show him the deductibles, Bob! Average deductibles on the “Catastrophic,” “Bronze,” and “Silver” plans are going through the roof. (No worries if you live in Colorado or Washington, just light up a joint and forget you read this.)

6. Obamacare Costs Way More Than Projected – And It’s Not Even Warmed Up

CP-Obamacare-in-Pictures-8_HIGHRES

Now here comes the biggie – cost. If you were one of the supporters of this law who thought it wouldn’t “add a dime” to the deficit, I want you to turn to your (theoretical) children and grandchildren and apologize. We’ll wait.

No, tell them the part about how you’ll be sticking your kids with your generation’s bills, and how debt is the unpaid portion of the federal budget that gets passed on to someone else.

Still don’t feel guilty? How about realizing that all of those taxes coming out of the private sector to pay for this disaster will limit your children’s futures, indicated in part by the half of college graduates who can’t find jobs in their fields? Oh, now you feel guilty.

7. Still Unpopular After All These Years

Ocare_popularity

And lo and behold, this healthcare “reform” boondoggle passed through procedural gimmickry with no bipartisan support whatsoever loaded with nonsense and unread in full by most of the nation’s “representation” in Washington still has very little support  – beyond those Democrats who would support anything the party told them to.

… Didn ‘ t POTUS say this [on ObamaCrapCare]…

.. you could keep your doctor ???

.. well , it seems the First Wuss finally broke that one …

.. [h/t — TruthRevolt]..
.. [link] to the video …

Today, President Obama stated that if you like your doctor, you may not be able to keep your doctor. That breaks yet another one of his crucial Obamacare campaign pledges — a pledge he has made dozens of times over the past few years.

At a townhall on June 11, 2009, Obama told a townhall event in Green Bay, Wisconsin, “No matter how we reform health care, I intend to keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you’ll be able to keep your doctor; if you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan.”

On June 15, 2009, Obama told the American Medical Association, “No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise: if you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period.”

On August 15, 2009, while stumping for Obamacare during his weekly video address, President Obama stated, “First, no matter what you’ve heard, if you like your doctor or healthcare plan, you can keep it.”

On July 18, 2009, Obama stated, “Michelle and I don’t want anyone telling us who our family’s doctor should be – and no one should decide that for you either. Under our proposals, if you like your doctor, you keep your doctor. If you like your current insurance, you keep that insurance. Period, end of story.”

In March 19, 2010, Obama explained, “If you like your doctor, you’re going to be able to keep your doctor. If you like your plan, keep your plan. I don’t believe we should give government or the insurance companies more control over health care in America. I think it’s time to give you, the American people, more control over your health.”

On April 1, 2010, Obama told a crowd in Portland, Maine, “if Americans like their doctor, they will keep their doctor.  And if you like your insurance plan, you will keep it.  No one will be able to take that away from you.  It hasn’t happened yet.  It won’t happen in the future.”

During his first presidential debate with Mitt Romney on October 3, 2012, Obama said, “If you’ve got health insurance, it doesn’t mean a government takeover. You keep your own insurance. You keep your own doctor. But it does say insurance companies can’t jerk you around.”

All in all, according to Politifact, Obama made the “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor pledge” some 29 times between his inauguration and November 4, 2013.

…Ouch , but it is true …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Friday,October 12th,2012

… and on point ! …

… the attack on our consulate in Benghazi , Libya was a terrorist attack . It was from the first , and the Obama Administration knew it . Worse yet , they LIED about it …

… We are owed the god ‘  s honest truth about what it was , what happened , and for the ObamaCraps to cut out the unadulterated bull …

… The simplest way to put it : was put by a columnist . I am reposting his column (from National Review) because he is an  excellent wordsmith . He is not a particular favourite of mine . He is good , and I do read him on a regular basis , however …

People Died, Obama Lied

An anonymous State Department official told the Associated Press last Tuesday: “That was not our conclusion” — namely, that a notorious YouTube video that lampooned the Islamic prophet Mohammed unleashed deadly mayhem upon America’s consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

This denial should shock anyone who watched the news after U.S. ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Foreign Service officer Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were murdered on the eleventh anniversary of September 11. That anti-Islamic video’s culpability certainly was the “conclusion” among top administration officials, including President Obama. They fingered the video for eight days, even as evidence mounted that these Americans were slain in a commando-style operation that involved machine guns and mortar shells, not banners and placards.

As Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier and Bill O’Reilly each detailed on Wednesday, Team Obama energetically promoted this now-repudiated “conclusion.”

September 11: Despite anti-video demonstrations in Cairo, Benghazi is tranquil. According to diplomats, “everything is calm. There’s nothing unusual. There has been nothing unusual during the day at all outside. No protests all day.”

At 9:40 p.m. local time, however, gunfire and explosions rock the consulate’s front gate.

September 12: As these homicides become clear, President Obama says, “We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, but there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None.” Obama then skips his daily intelligence briefing and jets to a Las Vegas fundraiser.

September 13: “The United States government had absolutely nothing to do with this video,” Secretary of State Clinton declares. “We absolutely reject its content and message.” Repeated efforts to distance the U.S. government from the video actually publicize it. Paradoxically, it grows increasingly toxic.

September 14: “We have no information to suggest that it was a pre-planned attack,” White House press secretary Jay Carney announces. “The unrest we’ve seen around the region has been in reaction to a video that Muslims, many Muslims find offensive.”

That day, as the murdered Americans’ remains reach Andrews Air Force Base, Clinton says: “We have seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful Internet video that we had nothing to do with. It is hard for the American people to make sense of that because it is senseless.”

September 16: United Nations ambassador Susan Rice tells Fox News Sunday that “this was not a pre-planned, premeditated attack.” She calls it “a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired in Cairo as a consequence of the video.”

September 18: “You had a video released by somebody who lives here, sort of a shadowy character, who has an extremely offensive video directed at Mohammed and Islam,” President Obama tells comedian David Letterman. Obama adds that “extremists and terrorists used this as an excuse to attack a variety of embassies including the consulate in Libya.”

September 19: Team Obama abruptly changes tune. National Counterterrorism director Matthew Olsen informs the Senate Homeland Security Committee, “I would say yes, they were killed in the course of the terrorist attack on our embassy.”

September 20: “It’s self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack,” Carney announces. Somehow, this self-evidence had eluded the public.

Why would Team Obama essentially accuse a video of these murders, even as Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Wood — leader of a 16-man, dedicated military unit withdrawn from Libya last August — called the hit “instantly recognizable” as terrorism?

During President Obama’s difficult campaign, that fantasy was far more palatable than this reality: A premeditated, well-executed al-Qaeda strike on a U.S. mission eradicated four Americans, even after they longed for the security assistance that might have prevented them from coming home in caskets.

Ambassador Stevens warned Washington that Libya “remains unpredictable, volatile, and violent.”

Eric Nordstrom, a former U.S. security officer in Libya, told the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee on Wednesday that State documented 230 security incidents in Libya between June 2011 and July 2012. Nordstrom consequently requested twelve more security personnel.

“‘You are asking for the sun, moon and the stars,’” Nordstrom says a State Department regional director complained. Nordstrom then describes his greatest frustration in this assignment.

“It is not the hardships,” Nordstrom says. “It is not the gunfire. It is not the threats. It is dealing and fighting against the people, programs, and personnel who are supposed to be supporting me.” As he told that regional director, “For me the Taliban is on the inside of the building.”

Nordstrom ultimately concluded that “we were not going to get resources until the aftermath of an incident. And the question that we would ask is again, ‘How thin does the ice need to get until someone falls through?’”

These inconvenient truths would have obviated Team Obama’s “bin Laden is dead, al-Qaeda is comatose” reelection theme. Thus, the same government that apparently leaks secrets to make the president look tough evidently oozed falsehoods to keep him from looking weak.

In short: People died, Obama lied.
