… Why China is a Problem [#legitimacy]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,January 18th,2017

.. it is still that simple — China is a totalitarian nation , one that is run by the Communist Party . It is a central fact that cannot be ignored ..

.. anyone who does business of any kind in the P.R.C. has to understand that . There is no effective ” rule of law ” in China . To protect one ‘ s rights , one has to negotiate contracts very , very carefully . To wit , you have to make sure that your rights are protected by a third party [arbitration] , or by the courts of athird party nation , such as the U.S. , Britain , OR Australia , for example ..

.. so , what do you do ? Move very carefully is one way to handle it . Another is to not do business in the P.R.C. at all . The latter is the course that I would choose ..

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,April 28th,2016

.. not in the least ..

.. Ellen Degenerates and her friends in the radical left seem to think that the passage ofa r.F.R.A. signifies discrimination . it does not . Far from it . it signifies the re -emphasis of religious freedom …

.. it allows people to defend themselves in court aganist the invasiveness of the predations of the radical left and their minions . They would force these simple people to participate in functions associated with gay -themed events that they morally disagree with . Now , they can defend themselves against those threats ..

.. A R.F.R.A. allows them to be religious ,yet participate in the public sphere…

.. I wanted to bring you his statement , because no one can state things more clearly than he can …

On his Facebook page, George predicted the eventual ouster of Eich for the his “sin” that was “unforgivable under the new morality” and explained his call for a boycott of Mozilla:

If I’m not morally fit to be their employee, I’m not morally fit to use their products. If you are a faithful Catholic, Evangelical, Eastern Orthodox Christian, Mormon, Orthodox Jew, Muslim, or member of any other tradition that believes that marriage is fundamentally the institution that unites a man and woman as husband and wife to be father and mother to any children born of their union, providing those children with the inestimable blessing of being brought up in the committed bond of the man and woman whose union brought them into being, or even if you believe in marriage thus understood quite apart from membership in any community of faith, I would ask you to do the same.

… In Order to Make the Other Guy Blink …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,April 2nd,2014

.. you have to make the other guy think …. and think seriously ..

.. he (or she) has to take you seriously . They cannot call your bluff . They still might do so anyway . However , they have to understand that your ” Red Line ” really means something ….

.. [h/t — NationalReview]..
.. [link] to Dr. Krauthammer ‘ s commentary …

.. miscalculations are dangerous for everyone . World War II got started that way . Adolph Hitler did not believe in the guarantees that Britain and France had extended to Poland . Hitler thought that it was a bluff , and attacked Poland . Britain and France thus went to war with Germany , and the rest , as we say , is history …

… Nice Point , Ollie (North) [on Russia] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,March 25th,2014

… What Enrages Me …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,July 3rd,2013

… to bring things up , I want to bring in the relevant portion of the post from theothermccain

What enraged me is how the utter one-sidedness of the news media in regard to homosexuality assisted Newton and Truong in their crime, so that when Gorham sought them out for a 2010 feature article, it amounted to free publicity for their criminal enterprise.

Journalists today cannot report about homosexuality, they must only advocate, endorse, praise and celebrate homosexuality. This paradigm reduces reporters to the role of propagandists, whose job is to parrot the publicity of radical gay-rights activists.

So far has this disastrous trend gone, that it never even occurred to Ginger Gorham that there was anything . . . odd about Truong and Newton’s extraordinary efforts to secure custody of an infant boy whom, we now know, they trained to perform as a gay sex toy:

Prosecutors said videos showed the boy “performing sex acts on Newton with a disturbing level of sophistication” when the boy was not yet 2 years old. At least eight different men had sex with the boy, investigators believe. ”The purchase of the child for the explicit and sole purpose of exploiting him across a network of men is incredibly depraved and very sad tale for that little boy,” Officer Rouse said.

The one story that the media will never report is their own abandonment of any pretense to fairness,  and anyone who tries to hold them accountable is deliberately exiled or ignored. This isn’t about homosexuality. There are any number of issues — from immigration to “climate change” to race relations — where journalists today are not expected to do actual reporting, but rather to promote a preconceived narrative, to advance an agenda.

Well, here is one “hate” I gladly confess: I thoroughly despise these dishonest dimwits who are disgracing the profession of journalism.

LEC here — to me , I am an idealist . I would rather die as an idealist , than live as a cynic . I believe in the decency and dignity of journalism as a calling , and as a profession . Much good can come out of being a reporter . Many , Many people learn about their news daily from reporters .

.. However , it would help that journalists practice their craft honestly , objectively , and thoroughly . Without a good professional reputation , a reporter is nothing , nothing at all . A reporter must maintain their obectivity , otherwise , what is the point ? It one is not thorough in their job , then their employer and their audience are cheated from their lack of effort .

.. These pieces show the results of the failure of being advocates for homosexuality , instead of objective reporters thereof .

advocate, endorse, praise and celebrate

.. One has to be honest , not be an advocate , of homosexuality . Be upfront . Where there are good things , if any , bring them out . Where there are bad things , if any , bring them out , as well .

.. Endorse it ? No . Hell No . You  have lost both your objecitvity , and your professional horse sense . Do not endorse it , but do not codemn it , either , if at all possible .

.. Praise it ? Same as for Endorse  .

.. Celebrate ? no , do not celebrate it . I do not . I do not believe in the morality of homosexuality . Others do . I just want you to understand where I am coming from . I am trying to be as objective about it as i can , given the circumstances , and the subject material ..
