… Normally I would criticize Someone who vetoed a pro – Life bill [#Mary Fallin][#Oklahoma]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Friday,June 3rd,2016

.. but not this time ..

.. the Ok legislature adopted this bill with virtually no debate , and in a great deal of haste . When you want to pass a bill , you usually want to promote the subject in order to build support . When you want to pass a bill , you should want to debate the bill ‘ s merits in public . One should not be afraid of debating a subject that one strongly believes in , not ever . So do not do so in haste ..

.. The Oklahoma legislature did so in haste . Governor Mary Fallin had a tough decision . Sign the bill , or veto it ..

.. she chose the latter course of action . She vetoed the bill . I applaud her choice ..

.. remember , I am a strong pro – lifer . But you should not pull a ” dead of the night ” stunt like this in order to make progress on our cause . It is wrong ..

… Yeah ! , Well Done ,Mississippi !! [#RFRA]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,April 20th,2016

.. recently , Ms Gov. Phil Bryant signed an update to his state ‘s Religious Freedom Restoration Act . To many , he did the right thing . To the radical left , the move signified a declaration of political war ..

.. for me , Bryant and Mississippi did the right thing . Our nation and our states stand for religious freedom . One of the things that they must stand for is that they must not for people into being a part of something that they do not believe in . These people do not believe in the morality and or legality of gay weddings . So this updated rfra HElps to protect THOSE folks that have a bona- fide belief in their religious beliefs that they are Not forced into something …

… It is An Abuse of Power [Obama ‘ s Abuse of the ” Pardon ” power] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,May 1st,2014

.. what Bill Clinton did at the end of his time was distasteful . It may have been borderline illegal . However , it may well be kosher …

.. with Barack Obama , it is a different story ..

.. [h/t — NiceDeb]..
.. [link] to Megyn Kelly ‘ s interview footage with former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy ..

.. I would highly recommend that you watch the interview footage . It is an intriguing interview , and very opinionated . I agree with Andrew , it is a gross abuse of the pardon power …

.. if POTUS wants to change the law , then he should submit the changes that he would like to see happen to Congress . He should learn how to bargain and reach for what he really wants . He does not have to grossly abuse the powers and duties of his office to pull stunts like this piece of crap …

.. the numbers on this one could really get out of hand . I am thinking that it could soar into the tens of thousands . When Jimmy Carter issued conditional pardons to Vietnam – era draft evaders and resistors , the numbers reached up to near 45 , 000 . There have been more , though ..

.. The times after our Civil War were something to behold . President Lincoln had been assassinated , just 5 weeks into his second term . What most had not realized at the time (immediately) was that he had run on a Union ticket with Tennessee Democrat Andrew Johnson . When Lincoln died , Johnson became President . The strife that marked his term was immense . When he was about to leave office , Johnson did something that was gutsy . He pardoned all of the Confederate army veterans . All of them . Estimates ran to about 750 , 000 men that were pardoned . There was nothing that Congress could do …

.. Ironoically , given the calls post – war , there was only one Confederate soldier who was tried by military tribunal for war crimes … Major Henry Wirz , the commander of the Andersonville prison camp in Georgia , was the one and only one who was tried . He was convicted and was subsequently executed for his acts …

… Watch POTUS get ” Fried ” [ObamaCrapCare joke] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,February 4th,2014

.. what happened to the fry cook , Darnell Summers , is no laughing matter .

.. the costs of ObamaCrapCare are going waaay up . The stupidity of the Essential Benefits package and the rigidity and bureaucracy of the system that has been created is a big part of the reason why . Also , the rules adopted by H.H.S. as regards to ” full time ” employees are giving employers a very good excuse to cut both  employment numbers and employment hours fairly rigorously  . They would be stupid to do otherwise …

.. The full time equivalent numbers give businesses an excellent reason to cut back to only what they need . If they can get below the ObamaCrapCare minimums , they will try . When and where possible , they will try to reduce hours per week per employee to reduce on benefit and health insurance costs , however possible ..

.. if you want to watch the confrontation ,  watch [here] .. Summers puts you-know-who on the spot , but good …

… Bravo Bill , Bravo [ O ‘ Reilly Factor Talking Points Memo] …

.. I have to admit , I am a fan of Bill O ‘ Reilly . I do not always agree with everything that he has to say . Who does . Bill comes at the issues from a much more libertarian perspective than , say , I do . I still listen to his show , intently , as much as I can , as often as I can .

.. Last night ‘ s O ‘ Reilly Factor was a real doozy . Most of the show was pretty normal , and informative , as usual . What has people , including me , buzzing , was the Talking Points Memo . WOW !! Incredible and Amazing Passion ! and , right on target ! It stands by itself …

… there is an Added Problem with the Mandate ….

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,July 17th,2012

… it is something that i have never heard spoken about , or debated about , on radio , on TV , or in the blogosphere …

… the individual mandate is a ” bill of attainder . ”

… a what ? …

… for those who do not know our Constitution , it is a provision of our learned document (Article 1 , Section 9) . It is an act of a legislature , in this case , Congress , that is meant to punish a person , or , a group of person , without the judgement of a judicial proceeding …

{wikipedia} def of attainder –> meaning taintedness

… in simple , the Mandate , acting as a penalty , is , i believe , a Bill of Attainder , and should have been thrown out on the spot by the courts , definitely by the U. S. Supreme Court …
