… i agree with Sheriff Joe (Arpaio) [#border enforcement]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,August 2nd,2016

.. Sheriff Joe was interviewed by Newsmax the other day …

.. it was regarding the tragedy of two California Sheriff ‘ s [Sacramento County] deputies being shot and killed in an ambush by a perpetrator . The killing was bad enough , but the background on the perp was far worse …

.. [h/t —]..
.. [link] to the news article ..

.. the perpetrator was an illegal immigrant . Yes , an illegal immigrant . Worse , this guy had been kicked out of the country twice . Twice , for God ‘ s Sake ….

.. even more so , this guy lived under multiple identities . He avoided jobs that would have revealed his true id ….

.. guys like this keep getting released by the Feds back on the streets , instead of being kicked out for good …

… What the Hell was She Thinking ?!?! [#secret meeting][#Mr. Bill]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Saturday,July 2nd,2016

.. indeed ..

.. Loretta Lynch is the A.G. of the United States . She is supposed to be the nation ‘ s chief law enforcement officer . It involves a great deal of responsibility in various areas ..

.. Hillary Clinton is the former SecState . She is also the putative DemoCrap nominee for POTUS this fall . She is also under very , very serious criminal investigation , and on two fronts ..

.. one is actions of her own making while SecState . She used a private email server totally without the government ‘ s permission . Doing so evidently violated a host of criminal laws . So she is facing some serious heat ..

.. [h/t —]..
.. [link] to the blog post ..

.. the other is the money pot that is the Clinton Foundation . She and her husband have been accruing some serious coin ever since he left office in January of 2001 . So , is it an influence – peddling and bribery scheme ?? ..

.. so , what in the hell was she doing meeting on an airport tarmac with Mr. Bill in Phoenix , Az the other day for a half of an hour , in private . Does that not smell to high heaven ??..

… I Have Heard of ” El Cheapo , ” but .. [#AZ][#Maricopa County][#polling station]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,April 3rd,2016

. there is being cheap , and then there is …

.. this is [was] insane ..

.. I will use my home state of Ohio as an example . Also , my home county OF Cuyahoga County . Ohio and Arizona are roughly the same size . However , Ohio has 88 counties , while Arizona has only 15 . Just 15 . so , Arizona ‘ s counties are far larger than Ohio ‘ s ..

.. [h/t — Rare.US]..
.. [link] to the blog post …

.. my home county [Cuyahoga County , in Ohio] is 1,250 square miles , but about 65% of that is water [Lake Erie] . Maricopa County [Arizona] , which had all of these problems , has nearly 8,400 square miles . Maricopa has 3 cities [ ] that are of 500,000 people or more , and Phoenix [the state capital , and also the county seat] is nearly 2.5 million people . Phoenix , for example , is eventally going to pass Chicago as our country ‘ s 3rd largest city . That is , if Las Vegas does not catch and pass them first ..

.. in Cuyahoga County , we have about 1,600 voting precints . Yup , the whole county . Each one has a voting station of its very own . I have worked the polls a number of times , so I know that very , very well . Yet some idiot thought that it would be a great idea for Maricopa County to go down from 200 polling stations to just 60 stations ..

.. Just 60 polling stations . How incredibly stupid was that move ..

.. the Feds and the State of Arizona are going to be tripping over themselves to investigate this mess . I don’t blame them , for once . I would trust the state , though , far more than the FEds . Remember the OCs , and the legal poisoning of the Department of InJustice ..

.. you folks need more polling stations in Maricopa County . One whole hell of a lot more . 60 polling stations for a county of roughly [4.2] million people over a land area of about 9,200 sq miles . Un – uh ..

.. [p.s.] — when it comes to law enforcement , at LEAST give ” Sheriff joe ” Arpaio a break . Given how damn big Maricopa County really is , he has a lot to do ..

… Nice Going , DummyCrats [#Navajo Nation][#Animas River spill][#E.P.A.]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,September 27th,2015

.. the political tone – deafness of the Democrats on this one is incredible , and growing . It is also incredibly political stupid — and dangerous …

.. the Navajos are one of the largest Indian tribes [in terms of land area] in the nation . Their holdings cover parts of 4 states : Colorado [very little] , Utah [bigger] , New Mexico [much bigger still] , and , biggest of all , Arizona [huge] …

.. they obviously have several million folks who can claim Navajo ancestry . so the Navajos do give a flying fiddlers fig about what goes on back home on their ancestral lands . This environmental spill [courtesy of the ObamaCrap E.P.A. colossal blunder] effects them greatly .

.. [h/t —]..
.. [link] to the blog post ..

.. ergo , the political effect could be huge . Utah is as deep red as it gets , so that one would not be particularly be changed by this . But , you add in Nevada , where a fair number of Navajos have migrated ? Yeow , that one is up for grabs . Colorado ? The number of Navajos is small , but the rest of the state has to be watching what the Obamacraps , the E.P.A. , and the DummyCraps in general are doing …

.. then comes New mexico . The Navajo prescence there is very strong , and spreads off of their lands . It could tip other tribes also [not limited to the Hopi] , and thus New Mexico politics …

.. then comes Arizona . The Navajo prescence in Arizona is enormous , including surrounding the Hopi lands . It would not just tip Az politics in general . Right Now , Arizona is roughly ” pink , ” or leaning GOP . You piss off enough of the Indians and you can [for the Dems] kiss off Az for a generation …

… If Loretta Lynch has lost John McCain [#AG nomination]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Saturday,March 28th,2015

.. then the effort to confirm her is indeed in deep trouble .

.. the GOP now controls the US Senate . The DemoCraps do not . The DummyCraps can stammer , huff , puff , and try to blow a house down all that they want , but as long as the majority holds firm , Lynch ‘ s nomination will not receive a vote . At the very least , not anytime soon ..

.. [h/t —]..
.. [link] to the blog post …

.. right now , the nomination is in real trouble . US Sen John McCain [R-Az] has come out openly against her nomination . Much more so is why he did . He has stated specifically that her position on POTUS ‘ so – called Executive Action on Immigration [which came out during questioning for her confirmation hearings] is what made him come out so openly against her …

.. She will not get a vote anytime soon . A good number of committee chairmen are against her . I suspect most of the Senate leadership has decided to vote her nomination down . But the Majority Leader ? That I am not sure of , yet . if he decides to oppose her , then her nomination is effectively dead , no matter how much His Lordship and the Senate DemoCraps protest …

… A Huge Loss for Gun Controllers [#Arizona]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,November 19th,2014

.. Martha McSally is winning in Arizona ..

.. make it , she is likely to win . the turf that is out is rural Az , her turf . The votes that are still out are because of a malfunctioning ballot machine . It is a master one , one that counts early ballots …

.. [h/t —]..
.. [link] to the blog news ..

.. so , yes , the machine is important , and yes , the ballots [about 3,300 of them] are more likely to favour her , rather than her opponent , Congresscritter Ron Barber …

.. Barber is a former staffer of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords [D-Az] . When she resigned , after her tragic gunshooting , she encouraged Barber to run in her place . Barber did , and won …

.. Barber and McSally faced off in 2012 . Barber did win , but barely . So , you could have figured on a rematch … boy , oh boy , did they ever …

.. this district is one that is slowly trending GOP . So , McSally should be able to hold it for the near future …

… I hope the States will Go after the Feds [#illegal immigration]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,August 17th,2014

.. what is happening on the border and on the interior is immoral and outrageous . That the federal government is complicit in these procedings is evil …

.. [h/t — Newsmax]..
.. [link] to the blog news ..

.. I hope that the states group together and go after the Feds . The current lawsuit by border patrol agents against the Federal Government [Crane v Napolitano would be the perfect vehicle . The states could join in as plaintiffs , if the border patrol union agreed . if the Feds (our Feds , not the Mexican Federales) are stupid enough to appeal this critical legal case , then they deserve every bit of legal hell that they would get from the judiciary .

.. Right now , Crane is at the Fifth Appeallate Circuit , where the Government lost . They have a certain amount of time to decide what they want to do . Appealing would be dangerous . Not appealing would be even more dangerous . So , it is damned if you do , and damned if you don’t ..

… What are They Thinking ?!?! [#dumping illegal immigrant kids in Az]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,June 25th,2014

.. you heard it right .

.. the Feds [no , not the Mexican Federales] (our Feds) are dumping illegals at bus stops in Arizona .

.. I have always had an innate belief in Sheriff Joe Arpaio . He is one tough customer . He is an old – school lawman . He does not mess around . He tells it how it is … My belief is even stronger now …

.. [h/t — Newsmax]..

.. Arizona ‘ s counties are as large as you can imagine . They are , on average , around 9,000 to 9,600 square miles each . Arizona has 15 counties , unlike my home state of Ohio [of similar size] , which has 88 . Their sheriffs and their departments have a lot of ground to patrol , so they are wired into stuff like this . Ohio is in the Great Lakes , and borders Canada , which is peaceful . Arizona is in the Southwest , and borders Mexico . Their border is not peaceful , not at all . So , guess who I believe ?

.. the Feds ? , or Sheriff Joe ?

… This Could Get Interesting [#federal child dumping]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,June 11th,2014

.. and , no , this is not Sheriff Joe Arpaio getting involved …. yet .

.. what I am talking about is Maricopa County [that means Phoenix] . Phoenix is Arizona ‘ s state capital , so the rest of Arizona ‘ body politic has to be paying attention . Yes , they will pay the bills . They may not want to , but they will do it . Especially in an election year . Most states , including Arizona , have a rainy – day fund . They can dip into this for unanticipated expenses . These kinds of bills sure as hell meet the definition thereof . Maricopa will not be the only one . There will be others …

.. [h/t — AzFamily]..
.. [link] to the story / video …

.. what I am talking about is child abuse . These kids are just being dumped onto the streets of Phoenix (and Maricopa County) . There is plenty of real estate for them to cover . Maricopa County is well over 8,500 square miles in land area . Where I live in Ohio [Cuyahoga County] is 1,250 square miles , and 2/3rds of that is Lake Erie .

.. Also , it is hot as hell this time of year . Average temps during the day in Phoenix are around 105 to 115 degrees , folks . It may be ” dry heat , ” but it is still dangerous as hell , especially to the unacclimated , and most of all , kids …

.. the Maricopa County Attorney is talking about going after the Feds . Specifically , going criminally after the folks who are doing the dumping , and I would suspect , even more . Dumping those kids on the streets in this heat , with no escort or supervision , just to get rid of them , is criminal . It is child endangerment , in my state , in any state …

.. If he has a good working relationship with the US Atty in Phoenix , then the US Atty can go after the folks who are higher up the food chain … and that means all the way up , including , potentially Obama . Yes , POTUS . This is a criminal dereliction of duty , and it is crying out loudly for a federal criminal investigation . A US Atty would be perfect for it , and the visibility would help protect him or her …

… I Do Not Blame Sheriff Joe for resisting

Posted by paulfromwloh on Saturday,August 17th,2013

.. he is in the right , and the activist judge and the Department of InJustice are both very badly in the wrong .

.. When you have a great number of illegals causing a great deal of crime , what hey will hide in areas where they will not stand

speaking in Phoenix, Arizona on February 26, 2011.

… Sheriff Joe Arpaio … (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

out . They will try to blend in , and be near family , and in areas where there are a signigifcant number of fellow latinos . So , what is a tough – as – nails law enforcer to do ?

.. Fight . Fight like Hell . Enforce the law , and do so in an equal opportunity manner . It will be one that will piss a great many people off . Tough cookies . That is what these folks are there for .

.. Arizona is similar in size to my home state of Ohio . Ohio has 88 counties . Arizona has only 15 counties . Ohio is along a peaceful and placid border , that being a water border with Canada . Arizona and its fellow states are a land border , and that one is most definitely violent and chaotic and unsecure , with Mexico .

.. We need to do a great deal more , and in a lot more areas in order to aid the immigration problem . The Border Patrol needs to be greatly increased in size to help . Different ideas need to be used , such as drones , and sensors , and others , in order to stretch both personnel and resources . Political support needs to be maintained , so that the improved acts are not reversed . That is what needs to be done .

Sheriff Joe Files to Oppose Racial Profiling Monitor

Outspoken Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is opposing the appointment of an independent monitor and other moves to address a judge’s finding that his agency racially profiled Latinos, according to a court filing on Friday.

The move could result in a judge ordering the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to comply with constitutional requirements that ban the practice.

In May, U.S. District Judge Murray Snow found that Arpaio’s office singled out Latinos, and that deputies unreasonably prolonged detentions, marking the first finding by a court that the agency engages in racial profiling.

Arpaio’s office is appealing.

Snow delayed issuing orders in the case in June after both parties indicated they wanted time to work toward an agreement.

The joint filing on Friday indicated the judge would have to provide more guidance during an Aug. 30 status conference given the lack of agreement on a proposed consent decree.

In the filing, the parties indicated they have “engaged in good faith discussions” and were able to reach agreement on some terms but remained at odds over several major points, including having a court-appointed monitor oversee the department’s compliance with the court’s ruling.

Snow’s May ruling came after a small group of Latinos sued the Sheriff’s Office for violating their constitutional rights.

The sheriff rejected a similar proposal last year when the U.S. Justice Department leveled racial profiling allegations against the agency.

Arpaio says allowing a monitor means every policy decision would have to be cleared through an observer and would nullify his authority.

“If the court were to appoint a monitor, the role and authority of such monitor must be reconciled so that the monitor’s role does not supplant the elected sheriff’s authority under the Arizona Constitution and Arizona statute,” lawyers wrote in the latest filing.

However, during the June hearing, Judge Snow made it clear that he planned to assign a federal monitor who would have significant authority to oversee retraining of deputies, among other changes at the office.

Arpaio’s office also opposes the plaintiffs’ proposal to create an advisory board aimed at improving the department’s relationship with the Latino community, as well as an effort it said would force deputies to “subjectively guess as to the race of a driver or passenger.”

Maricopa County Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox, a Democrat, said she wasn’t surprised by the 81-year-old sheriff’s reluctance to agree to key terms but added, “the remedies are coming, like it or not.”

“Without a monitor, who can trust the agreements are being met?” she asked.

Judge Snow’s ruling doesn’t altogether bar Arpaio from enforcing the state’s immigration laws, but it does impose a long list of restrictions on the patrols. They include prohibitions on using race as a factor in deciding whether to stop a vehicle with a Latino occupant and on detaining Latino passengers only on the suspicion that they’re in the country illegally.

The case that led to Snow’s ruling focused on Latinos who were stopped during both routine traffic patrols and special immigration patrols known as sweeps.

During the sweeps, deputies flood an area of a city — in some cases, heavily Latino areas — over several days to seek out traffic violators and arrest other offenders. Immigrants who were in the country illegally accounted for 57 percent of the 1,500 people arrested in the 20 sweeps conducted by Arpaio’s office since January 2008.

The federal Justice Department filed a lawsuit last year that also alleges racial profiling in Arpaio’s immigration patrols. The federal government’s suit, however, claims broader civil rights violations, such as allegations that Arpaio’s office retaliates against its critics and punishes Latino jail inmates with limited English skills for speaking Spanish. Arpaio has denied the claims.

… You can thank Homeland Security for This Idiocy …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,August 11th,2013

.. news such that from these is outrageous .

.. The drug cartels (in Mexico) present a significant security threat . Not just to the Mexican people , but to the people of the United States . it is without doubt that the cartels have contacts with gangs , with the remains of the Mafia , and other groups throughout our country . However , their effect remains muted , at least in our country .

.. Even so , in Mexico , their country has evolved , and has grown . Mexico has not emerged into the First World , but its time is coming . Its economy is becoming far more diverse , and industrial , as well as service and information – based . It is most definitely not an “oil” economy , not anymore . Even their oil sector is beginning to reform itself . Amazing , by Mexican standards , considering how rife with corruption that Petroleonos Mexicanos (or , PEMEX) has been for decades . It has never gotten as rife with violence and drug gang control as Columbia did a generation ago.

.. However , one cannot discout the drug cartel threat . They are ongoing and continuing threat , on both sides of the border . It most definitely does not justify what is happening right now on the border , especially with the immigration debate that is underway .

.. Homeland Security has created a huge new loophole . Either by its actions , or by its lack of action . There is no excuse for it . None , at all . Period . They are acting as if they are waving “ole” at the border , and allowing a new flood of illegals in . Their actions will backfire . Spectacularly .

… this piece is from KSAZ (Fox–Phoenix,AZ) …

A loophole is allowing hundreds of immigrants across the Mexico border in to the United States.
Immigrants are being taught to use “key words and phrases” to be allowed to enter and stay in the country.

Just this past Monday, Border Patrol agents say about 200 people came through the Otay Crossing claiming a quote: “credible fear” of the drug cartels.

So many were doing this that they had to close down the processing center and move the overflow by vans to another station.

“They are being told if they come across the border, when they come up to the border and they say certain words, they  will be allowed into the country,” said a person who did not want to be identified on camera.  “We are being overwhelmed.”

Pete Nunez, former U.S. Attorney and immigration expert says, “This will swamp the system.”
“To make our system even more ridiculous than it has been in the  past,” he adds.  “There are no detention facilities for families, so the family would have to be split up. We don’t want to split families up, so we end up releasing people out into the community on bond, on bail.”
Nunez says, “It’s a huge loophole.”
“There has to be a policy change, something implemented, an emergency implementation that will stop this, or otherwise we will have thousands coming in.”
Immigrants are telling the Port Enforcement Team — or P.E.T. — that the cartels are ripping apart their state.

There’s no word on whether this same loophole is being used in Arizona.

Sudden Flood of Asylum Requests at U.S./Mexico Border

Email Article

            by            Lee Stranahan11 Aug 2013, 3:24 AM PDT2501post a comment

At the Otay crossing near the San Diego border last Monday, about 200 people coming from Mexico gained entry to the United States all using the same key phrase; they claimed they had a ‘credible fear’ of drug cartels. According to KSAZ FoxPheonix:

So many were doing this that they had to close down the processing center and move the overflow by vans to another station.

“They are being told if they come across the border, when they come up to the border and they say certain words, they  will be allowed into the country,” said a person who did not want to be identified on camera.  “We are being overwhelmed.”

This apparent new shift in tactics to enter the United States comes at a time when the Associated Press is reporting a spike in the number of asylum requests in the past few years:

According draft testimony for USCIS Associate Director Joseph Langlois that was to be submitted for a congressional hearing on asylum requests last month, USCIS received more than 19,119 asylum requests through the end of May. The agency anticipates receiving more than 28,600 by the end of the fiscal year.

According to the testimony, during the 2009 budget year the agency received just 5,369 such requests.

However, this new phenomenon is out of all proportion, even with this spike. To put those numbers in perspective with the 200 people making asylum requests on one day at one border crossing, 200 people a day equals 73,000 people a year — close to three times the total number received all year, at all border crossings.

KSAZ reports the new tactic could easily overwhelm the immigration system, quoting immigration attorney and former immigration official Pete Nunez:

“To make our system even more ridiculous than it has been in the  past,” he adds. “There are no detention facilities for families, so the family would have to be split up. We don’t want to split families up, so we end up releasing people out into the community on bond, on bail.” Nunez says, “It’s a huge loophole.”

“There has to be a policy change, something implemented, an emergency implementation that will stop this, or otherwise we will have thousands coming in.”

The goal, however, may be to overwhelm the system. This apparent new tactic comes on the heels of widely publicized activism by a group called ‘The Dream 9’ who also used a claim of asylum to gain re-entry to the country. As leftist organization Colorlines reported last week:

All nine of the activists have now established credible fear, a step toward an asylum hearing. Supporters are now hoping the Dream 9 will be eligible for parole, which would allow them to return to the United States until their asylum hearing dates.

This connection between the ‘Dream 9’ and the tactic of asylum was made by Spanish-language news source La Opiniòn. They report (translation by Google Translation) in an article entitled El asilo se volvió un sueño (in English: The asylum becomes a dream):

Following the release of nine Dreamers prisoners in Arizona, after a protest at the border, others have taken the path of asylum as a way to solve their deportation.

Media reports in San Diego are reporting that “hundreds of foreigners are trying to enter the country in the same way” and even that immigrants are being taught to use key phrases that they can stay in the country.

Reports tell of cases in the Port of Entry Otay Mesa, where 199 people have argued a ‘credible fear “to the drug cartels in Mexico.

And the validation of Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) of the status of “credible fear”, which allowed young people to stay at home and return to their families seems to have generated more of a headache for Immigration.

La Opiniòn goes on to quote Marshall Fitz, the immigration policy expert the liberal Center for American Progress, who points out that many would not qualify and it’s not a good ‘long term strategy’ for those attempting to cross the border.
