.. I am absolutely appalled that Planned Murderhood [that is what I call them] is in this business in the first place , that being of aborting babies . Yes , you can bet your boots that I am pro – life , folks . I would not be any other way , especially on this subject . Abortion is bad enough as it is …

… Exactly the Point , Dr. Snyderman [#pro life message]…

.. what has happened with Joan Rivers is gawd awful .

.. she was having a routine medical throat procedure [an endoscopy] , when , for whatever reason , she either stopped breathing or her heart stopped breathing . My educated guess would be the former …

.. what is the point is that the endoscopy practice did not have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital . Ms. Rivers was sent by ambulance to NYC’s Mount Sinai Hospital , to its emergency room . God only knows what continuing effect this will or has had on her …

.. [h/t —]..
.. [link] to the interview segment ..

.. the point that Dr. Nancy Snyderman makes is that most medical procedures are indeed routine ; but , to be safe , it helps for that medical practice [and dental practices , for serious work] to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital . That has also been the point of the pro – life community …

.. where abortion comes , this logic seems to go right out the window . When it comes to routine medical procedures , pro – deathers are o.k. with admitting privileges nearby … when it comes to abortion , they go hyperactive ….

… the DemoCraps in Colorado have a Death Wish …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,April 23rd,2014

.. terrific coverage by Aaron Gardiner , blogging over at RedState .com …

.. [h/t — RedState]..

.. [link] to the blog story ..

.. what it is was that the Colorado state Senate DemoCraps were trying to move legislation that was just about the most pro – Death legislation in the country . It was just about as bad as the proposed Freedom of Choice Act in Congress , or that other pro – Death woosy in New York state that Andrew Cuomo wanted , but did not get . They keep on trying to push this stuff , but they keep failing ..

.. the Dems in the Colorado state Senate have about a one – vote majority , @ 18 to 17 . This also came about with the two recall elections that booted out DemoCraps , and put in Republicans . Now , this crowd wanted to put through this pro – Death bill , basically another Freedom of Choice Act ..

.. it would have allowed any woman , of any age [including minors] to get an abortion , at any time , at any stage in her pregnancy . How much more pro – Death is that ? Plenty . the Colorado state House may well have passed it , and Governor John Hickenweenie probably would have signed it …

.. fortunately , it has failed …. for now …

.. two other good things about Colorado : …

.. the whole crew : including Hickenweenie , are up this fall . The Republicans in the state are at fever pitch . The Dems may show up , and they may not . Hickenweenie is vulnerable . Mark Udall is even more vulnerable . Even better , the Dems only control the Colorado legislature by a few seats .You get enough of an effort , and out they all go …

.. Colorado is a referendum / initiative state …. it is not easy to get one on the ballot , however . If those dummies ever put a bill like this through , it can be challenged at the ballot box . Even better yet , it can be forced to a special election , where the numbers could well be even better in the GOP ‘ s favour …

.. more to come , undoubtedly ..

… the Holy Father responds [to Univ of Notre Dame] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Monday,February 3rd,2014

.. the University of Notre Dame is currently having its annual trustees meeting … at the Vatican , of all places …

.. Pope Francis (yes , the Holy Father , himself) spoke to the trustees …

.. how would I put it … His Holiness put it , ” It is time to step up , folks . ”

.. the Holy Father did put it differently . Yes , I know that . However , I put it in a way that was K.I.S.S. , keep it simple and specific . Popes are like many religious leaders , they tend to get long winded and wordy …

.. [h/t — CNSnews]

.. [link] to the news piece …

( – Pope Francis on Thursday told the president and trustees of the University of Notre Dame–which  is suing the Obama administration for mandating that its health  insurance plans cover sterilizations, contraceptives and  abortion-inducing drugs–that Notre Dame should defend the freedom of  the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church teaches that sterilization, artificial contraception and abortion are intrinsically immoral.

“The vision which guided Father Edward Sorin and the first religious  of the Congregation of Holy Cross in establishing the University of  Notre Dame du Lac remains, in the changed circumstances of the  twenty-first century, central to the university’s distinctive identity  and its service to the Church and American society,” the pope told the delegation from Notre Dame, which visited with him at the Vatican.

“Essential in this regard is the uncompromising witness of Catholic  universities to the Church’s moral teaching, and the defense of her  freedom, precisely in and through her institutions, to uphold that  teaching as authoritatively proclaimed by the magisterium of her  pastors,” said the pope, according to a transcript published by the Vatican.

“It is my hope that the University of Notre Dame will continue to  offer unambiguous testimony to this aspect of its foundational Catholic  identity, especially in the face of efforts, from whatever quarter, to  dilute that indispensable witness,” he said. “And this is important: its  identity, as it was intended from the beginning. To defend it, to  preserve it and to advance it!”

Prof. Carter Snead of Notre  Dame  Law School saw the pope’s words as encouraging the university in  its court battle against the Obama administration’s efforts to restrict  the freedom of religion.

“The Holy Father’s words strike me as  a timely and profound encouragement to Notre Dame in its continuing  efforts to defend its religious liberty in court,” Prof. Snead told

They “are a powerful reminder to all of us who love and work for  Notre Dame that we have the duty to preserve and expand the university’s  witness to the truths affirmed and proclaimed by the Church,” he said.

“As Pope Francis observes, this witness requires the freedom to  organize and conduct the work of the university in a manner that  reflects these truths,” said Snead. “It seems to me that the dangerous  effort to ‘dilute that indispensable witness’ is the HHS  contraceptive/abortifacient mandate.”

On May 21, 2012 Notre Dame filed suit against the regulation that the  Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius issued under the  Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that requires almost all  health insurance plans to cover sterilization, contraceptive and  abortion-inducing drugs. A federal judge initially dismissed the lawsuit  in December 2012, arguing that Notre Dame lacked standing at the time  to bring the suit. The university filed suit again in December 2013.

Although some other organizations that are suing to stop the  sterilization-contraception-abortifacient mandate have been granted  injunctions against enforcement of it while their complaints work their  way through the courts, a panel of judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals  for the Seventh Circuit on December 31, 2013 denied Notre Dame’s  emergency motion for a stay.

After that action by court, Notre Dame continued to press its  lawsuit, but began to comply with the federal regulation that required  it to notify the third-party administration of its self-insurance plan  that the administrator would be providing the disputed coverage.

“Having been denied a stay, Notre Dame is advising employees that  pursuant to the Affordable Care Act, our third party administrator is  required to notify plan participants of coverage provided under its  contraceptives payment program,” said Paul Browne, Notre Dame’s vice  president for public affairs and communications, according to WNDU.  “As part of an ongoing legal action, however, the program may be  terminated once the university’s lawsuit on religious liberty grounds  against the HHS mandate has worked its way through the courts.”

A professor of history at Notre Dame, Holy Cross Father Bill  Miscamble told the National Catholic Register that he was disappointed  “with the tepid way in which Notre Dame has acquiesced with the  Obamacare provisions and authorized its health-insurance administrator  to implement the HHS mandate.”

Gerard Bradley, a professor at the Notre Dame School of Law, wrote in a post on National  Review’s Bench Memos, “The reasons for [violating the ACA contraception  mandate] would be, as Notre Dame asserted in its formal complaint in  the local federal court, that so ‘triggering’ the coverage would be  tantamount to facilitating abortions in violation of the university’s  Catholic beliefs.”

Under the Obamacare regulation, the university says in its lawsuit,  “Notre Dame must provide, or facilitate the provision of,  abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraceptive services to  its employees in violation of the centuries’ old teachings of the  Catholic Church.”

“If the government can force religious institutions to violate their  beliefs in such a manner, there is no apparent limit to the Government’s  power,” says the Notre Dame lawsuit. “Such an oppression of religious  freedom violates Notre Dame’s clearly established constitutional and  statutory rights.”

NAACP: National Association for the Abortion of Colored People

by Ryan Bomberger | | 1/16/13 11:45 AM

What better way for an out-of-touch liberal organization to celebrate itself than in the land of make believe? The NAACP’s 44th Annual Image Awards honor black imagery churned out by often racist, anti-Christian, perpetually sexist, violent and pornographic Hollywood. Just skim the list of nominees and one is left with an overwhelming feeling: emptiness.

Django Unchained, with its graphic violence and 100 plus uses of the racially denigrating epithet, “nigger”, gets praise and nominations from the NAACP. “Lincoln”, a powerful film of historical substance, completely eliminates the most potent influence in Lincoln’s ideology and evolution on slavery—Frederick Douglass. There’s no protest from the NAACP, just a nomination.

The nation’s oldest civil rights organization revels in a distorted reflection of who black Americans are, the struggles faced and the real world around us.  Though they will dress up their liberal causes in bright lights, filtered lenses and entertaining performances, the NAACP Image Awards worship a false image.

The NAACP’s selective, and often feigned, outrage on a myriad of issues is befitting of a multiple personality disorder, with its stronger personality being one that embraces all things liberal, most things socialistic, and nothing pro-life.  They’ll beat the drums of economic, social and environmental “justice” while over 360,000 black babies, annually, never get a chance at one of the few Constitutional rights that actually exist—the right to Life.

At a time when 72.3% of black children are born into homes without fathers and (in some places like Philadelphia) 50% of viable black pregnancies end in abortion one would think protecting future generations would become a national emergency for this historic organization. Single female-led homes are the norm in the black community. Children who grow up in these homes are 5 times more likely to live in poverty than those in two-parent married homes. Yet, these issues are non-existent on the organization’s website. And all the NAACP can do in regards to marriage is push gay marriage—hardly the solution to crumbling, impoverished families in our inner-cities.  What about equality for these beautiful children living without the economic, educational and emotional security of both a mother and a father?

The NAACP would rather sleep with Planned Parenthood, the urban staple and instigator of sexual irresponsibility, regardless of what people say. The affair has been going on for decades. The NAACP, despite denials, has publicly supported Planned Parenthood numerous times (here, here and here). It’s fought to prevent the abortion chain from being defunded while simultaneously fighting to ensure a massive influx of funding for its beloved ally (and annual convention sponsor) through Obamacare.

In fact, both organizations are part of the nation’s largest coalition of “civil rights” groups, The Leadership Conference. It was co-founded by famed civil rights figure, A. Philip Randolph, who was the President of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters. He also happened to shill for Planned Parenthood back in 40s. Today, the NAACP, Planned Parenthood and a who’s who among pro-abortion groups are part of this “civil rights” collective. (The chair of The Leadership Conference just happens to be Judith Lichtman, the President of the rabidly pro-abortion National Partnership for Women and Families.)

Planned Parenthood, gay marriage, HIV/AIDS initiatives, and demonizing the GOP are far more important to the National Association for the Abortion of Colored People than the devastating reality that black babies are aborted at staggering levels. Black babies are aborted 6 times more frequently (in NYC) than white babies: 1,448 are aborted for every 1,000 that are born alive as compared to 244 white babies aborted for every 1,000 born alive (all losses are a tragedy).

No outreach. No outcry. No outrage.

The only racial profiling the NAACP supports is the vilification of any black public figure or organization that is conservative and the targeting of unborn black children for death via abortion.

The National Association for the Abortion of Colored People has no moral ground to stand upon, just quick sand oozing with the blood of those most discriminated against. The NAACP’s covert and overt support of Planned Parenthood negates any other human rights they purport to defend.

If they can’t show any concern for the most basic civil right stripped away before birth, how can they convince the American public that they’re dedicated to rights post-birth? Why should anyone care about those black lives that the NAACP is so willing to throw away in exchange for political prominence?

It’s not “rights” the NAACP is pursuing, but the Right (Senator Tim Scott, Judge Janice Rogers Brown, Allen West, The Radiance Foundation) in a venomous campaign to alter history to suit their allegiance to liberalism. Mainstream media has no spine or is complicit in the NAACP’s cause-du-jour. Whether it’s “dirty coal”, anti-charter school teachers’ unions, legalizing pot, or faux voting suppression crimes, the real crime is that news outlets never scrutinize the organization for its false claims, outrageous policies and destructive actions.

.. LEC again — in case you are wondering , yea , LifeNews and Ryan got sued . The case is now before the federal courts in (I believe) Norfolk , Virginia . A decision in the case should come sometime after the first of the new year  ….

Obamacare Exchanges Hide Info on Abortion Coverage, Mandatory Abortion Surcharge

by Steven Ertelt | | 10/12/13 3:16 AM

With the exchanges of Obamacare activated this month, it has become evident that it is nearly impossible for individuals to try to determine which exchange plans on their state exchange, if any, exclude abortion, said a group of lawmakers at a bipartisan press conference Wednesday.

U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (NJ-04) unveiled his legislation, H.R. 3279, the “Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act” —cosponsored by 70 other Members of the House—to ensure full disclosure of abortion coverage, requiring prominent and transparent disclosure of abortion coverage for each plan offered on an exchange. This is crucial information for millions of Americans since the many plans that include elective abortion are required by law to impose a monthly mandatory abortion surcharge. Many Americans object to paying a surcharge into a fund to be used solely for the purpose of aborting unborn babies.

Smith said the inauguration of the Obamacare exchanges reveals that many health insurance plans throughout the nation will include abortion on demand—even late term abortions. Smith recalled that in October 2009, President Obama said in a speech to a joint session of Congress that, “under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortion… .” A week after the Obamacare rollout, many are now discovering that—contrary to solemn promises made by the President himself—Obamacare violates the Hyde Amendment by funding plans that include abortion.

“The new law requires premium payers to be assessed an abortion surcharge every month to pay for abortions,” said Rep. Smith. “But many pro-life Americans may unwittingly purchase pro-abortion plans because of a marketing secrecy clause embedded in Obamacare which stipulates that the surcharge be minimally disclosed only at the time of enrollment. In other words, bury it in the fine print. This is a Right to Know bill. Americans have a right to know upfront and with full transparency when they are purchasing a plan that subsidizes the killing of unborn children. Even the most ardent advocate of abortion should embrace full disclosure.”

Joining Smith and Dan Lipinksi (D-IL), co-chairs of the Pro-Life Caucus, were Reps. Joe Pitts (PA-16) and Diane Black (TN-06), Vicky Hartzler (MO-04) and Trent Franks (AZ-08).

“Americans buying their insurance through the new healthcare exchanges shouldn’t have to spend hours trying to figure out if the money they pay for premiums will be spent to provide abortions. This bill will give the American people the transparency they need to make informed decisions that are in line with their religious and moral beliefs,” Rep. Dan Lipinski said. “None of this would be a problem if we pass the ‘No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.’ There is a longstanding principle in our country that the federal government does not subsidize abortions. Yet under Obamacare, taxpayer money under the guise of federal subsidies will be paying for insurance that covers elective abortion. This needs to stop.”

“The President tells Americans that they can go online, find the plan that covers what they need, and make a selection,” said Rep. Joe Pitts. “If Obamacare is all about choice, then why is the administration making it so difficult for people to find out about whether a plan pays for abortion? It’s time that we got some truth in advertising.”

“The Obamacare exchange launch has been an unmitigated disaster,” said Congressman Diane Black. “One of the most troubling problems is that many consumers are unclear as to what exactly will be covered by the plans they purchase online. Clearly Americans who are pro-life would object to paying for a health care plan that included abortion coverage and then be forced to pay an abortion surcharge into a fund that is meant to be used solely for the purposes of destroying human life. And this is equally problematic for the millions of Americans who simply don’t believe the federal government should be subsidizing abortions. The Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act would simply require that all plans on the exchanges disclose whether or not the plan includes abortion coverage. This is not a partisan issue—this is commonsense.”

I support the legislation that Rep. Chris Smith has put forward, and I adamantly believe that we need to lift the veil of secrecy from Obamacare while ensuring transparent policies,” said Rep. Vicky Hartzler. “I commend every member that has signed on to this bill, and I also encourage members of both parties and the Senate to vote for this common-sense legislation. We must eliminate the “secrecy clauses” and “abortion fees” from current taxpayer subsidized insurance plans and fight to restore individual religious liberty and moral conscience to our medical decisions.”

EU set to suppress doctors’ conscience rights and proclaim abortion a ‘human right’

Hilary White

BRUSSELS, October 10, 2013 ( – A coalition of socialists at the European Union have moved to suppress conscientious objection rights of doctors and healthcare workers throughout the EU.

The European Parliament is set to vote this month on the Draft Report on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, adopted by the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality on September 18.

The report, promoted by the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament, argues for legalizing abortion throughout all 27 EU member states, calling it a “human right.”

Citing the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 1979 United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the EU report declares that “sexual and reproductive rights” and the “comprehensive sexual education” are “human rights,” and complains of a “disparity in the standard of sexual and reproductive health between and within Member States.”

“Member States should regulate and monitor the use of conscientious objection so as to ensure that reproductive health care is guaranteed as an individual’s right,” the report states.

It complains that, although“legal, abortion is often prevented or delayed by obstacles…such as the widespread use of conscientious objection.”

Section G of the report says, “Access to safe abortion…remains widely unavailable, though legal, through the abuse of conscientious objection or overly restrictive interpretations of existing limits.”

Zita Gurmai, MEP for the Hungarian Socialist Party

It adds, “These barriers clearly contradict human rights standards.”

This claim, however, was flatly denied by the pro-life group European Dignity Watch, that said that nowhere in international law is abortion named as a “human right.”

But the committee, the group said, “is ready to sacrifice internationally recognized rights, such as the right to conscientious objection.”

Indeed, the claim of abortion as a human right contradicts the findings in August this year by the Council of Europe that there is “no consensus” across Europe on legalizing abortion. Forty-seven European ministers were unable to answer two direct questions about abortion: Should the Council promote abortion? Is abortion a human right under the European Convention on Human Rights?

With a possible reference to the explosive growth of pro-life organizations and hugely popular Marches for Life across Europe in recent years, the document also noted the increase of “opposition to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) has increased in Europe and worldwide.”

Recently, a European-wide citizen’s initiative, the “One of us” petition project, gathered more than 1 million signatures asking the EU to end funding for the destruction of human embryos.

Zita Gurmai, an MEP for the Hungarian Socialist Party, praised the report’s “clear stance in favor of legalizing abortion in all member states” and called the demand for abortion to be made “legal, safe, and accessible to all” an “encouraging position.”

“We Socialists have always believed that women, everywhere in Europe, should have the same opportunity and access to fully carry out their choice — a choice, which should not be determined by geographical location or by social status,” Gurmai said.

Patrick Buckley, the international affairs officer for the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, said that the European Union has no legal jurisdiction to instruct member states to legalize abortion.

Click “like” if you want to end abortion!

He said the draft report also “seeks to sexualize children through the introduction of so called comprehensive sexuality education.”

The report calls on member states “to ensure compulsory, age-appropriate, and gender-sensitive sexuality and relationship education for all children and adolescents (both in and out of school).” Such education “must include the fight against stereotypes and prejudices, shed light on gender and sexual orientation discrimination, and structural barriers to substantive equality.”

Sophia Kuby, spokesman for European Dignity Watch, commented, “One can only speculate on the exact method of implementation of these noble-sounding but eminently dangerous aims.”

Kuby added that this is not the first all-out attempt by a European international body to suppress conscience rights. She cited the case of the notorious 2010 “McCafferty Report” by the British politician and pro-abortion activist Christine McCafferty, “when a radical attempt to limit freedom of conscience” was introduced and later soundly defeated.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, (PACE), a body legally distinct from the European Union, instead adopted Resolution 1763, which asked member states to “guarantee the right to conscientious objection in relation to participation in the medical procedure in question.” The Assembly also stated that “in the vast majority of Council of Europe member states, the practice of conscientious objection is adequately regulated”.

Italian government statistics recently showed that the number of doctors and other health care practitioners who refuse to participate in abortion is steadily increasing. This includes more than 80 percent of all gynecologists – up to 91 percent in some areas – as well as more than half of anesthesiologists and nurses.

In 2007, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists complained that “unprecedented numbers,” of doctors are opting out of abortion, 80 percent of which are paid for in Britain by the National Health Service.

The report itself repeats these statistics, noting also that doctors are increasingly refusing to participate in Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia, “where nearly 70 per cent of all gynecologists and 40 per cent of all anesthesiologists conscientiously object to providing abortion services.”

… Those Morons are Going to Get Nailed on This One [Abortion Funding through the Exchanges] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,October 1st,2013

.. this article , and this stunt by the Office of Personnel Management [O.P.M.] make my stomach turn and retch .

.. this is the relevant section from the article …

The Office of Personnel Management ruled Monday that members of Congress and their staffs will be able to buy health care plans that pay for abortions, even though the premiums are funded largely by taxpayer money — a move that conservatives say breaks federal law on abortion funding.

Under the terms of Obamacare, lawmakers and their aides are required to ditch their government-sponsored plans and buy insurance on state-based health care exchanges, though unlike most people on the exchanges, the staffers and members will have most of the costs of their premiums paid by their employer — in this case, taxpayers.

Federal law generally prevents taxpayer money from being used to pay for abortions, but OPM said the health care plans offered through the exchange were private. The agency also said it will make sure the money is segregated so that the portion that pays for abortions comes out of the employees’ own contributions, which amounts to about a quarter of the premiums.

“While plans with such coverage may be offered on an Exchange, OPM can and will take appropriate administrative steps to ensure that the cost of any such coverage purchased by a member of Congress or a congressional staffer from a designated [exchange] is accounted for and paid by the individual rather than from the government contribution, consistent with the general prohibition on federal funds being used for this purpose,” OPM said in its ruling.

LEC again here — what the OPM is saying is a crock . The health care plans are publically required , and are part of ObamaCrapCare [O.C.C.] legislation . The funding for congressional and staff salaries is PUBLIC , you dummies . What you are doing is against federal law (no taxpayer funding for abortions , period) …

.. you are part of the team .

.. If you are a Republican , you are a bad guy or gal . It does not matter how liberal your voting record is , or how much you support so – called ” women ‘ s issues . ” You are part of the wrong team . You support a party that is ” anti – women . ”

.. Ironically , if you are a DemoCrap , you can get away with almost anything . You can touch , feel , grab , or …. , you know . Buzzfeed’s Kate Nocera looks around for Democrat women to opine on A. Weiner, Eliot and Bob Filner — mostly in vain. But liberal Emily’s List jumped to comment.

..A spokeswoman for Emily’s List, a group that works to elect women supportive of abortion rights, argued the difference between Filner’s — or Weiner’s or Spitzer’s for that matter — behavior and that of Republican gaffe-prone men has to do with the legislative priorities of the GOP.

“The difference is that Republicans’ words and personal actions are backed up by an actual party legislative agenda that hurts women — this stuff goes from infuriating and outrageous to genuinely frightening when they’re trying to back it up with real live laws that roll back the clock to a time when women were treated as second class citizens,” Emily’s List Communications Director Jess McIntosh said. “Akin only mattered because Republicans had already tried to redefine rape in legislation — the Republicans gaffing all over the place when it comes to women are not outliers. They are reflective of their party’s actual agenda.”

.. Weed through the rhetoric and red herrings and Emily’s List’s meaning is plain: As long as Democrat men support a certain set of laws, they can do whatever they want, at home, in their offices, wherever, to whomever they want. Bob Filner swats his subordinates on the rear and tells them not to wear panties to work. That’s cool with Emily’s List! Supporting abortion on demand is a Get Out of Jail Free! card for boors and cads. Bill Clinton was a true trailblazer.

.. I wonder, does it ever occur to the folks at Emily’s List that some of these boors and cads just support abortion as a means to getting power, access, and sex ?

LEC here , again — it should never be open season , on anyone , ever . People should be treated with love and respect and decency . They should be respected and admired , not ogled and leered at . Be gracious gentleman , at all times . Your reputation is your be – all and end all . Without it , you are nothing .

Ohio Abortion Restrictions: Gov. John Kasich Signs New State Budget Containing Anti-Abortion Measures

.. Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed House Bill 59 on Sunday night, which includes some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the

country .

.. With the passage of Ohio’s new state budget, women in that state have lost access to low-cost family planning services, access to public hospitals during a health emergency , and contrary to public reports , not their right to privacy .

..  On Sunday night, Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed House Bill 59, the new $62 billion state budget that includes a $2.7 billion tax cut and increases the sales tax rate from 5.5 percent to 5.75 percent . The budget also included several anti-abortion measures, including one that will force any woman seeking an abortion to undergo a trans-abdominal ultrasound.

.. Another measure of the budget puts Planned Parenthood last on the list of family-planning dollars, which essentially cuts off $1.4 million in federal funding . Opponents of the new abortion restriction said that three clinics in Ohio would likely close now that the measure is implemented .

.. What is good  is that the bill does provide funding for “crisis pregnancy centers,” which are often run by religious organizations . These centers do not offer abortion referral services.

.. Any abortion providers that manage to remain open under these restrictions are compelled to tell women “of the probable anatomical and physiological characteristics” of a fetus during various stages of its development. They must give women seeking abortions information on adoptions and alternative family planning options.

LEC here — in Ohio , there is very good reason that these restrictions were put in the state budget . One is that Planned Murderhood does not deserve any public funding , at all , ever . More than that , the Ohio Constitution bars a referendum or initiative against any item in the state budget . As  a  result , these issues are now law , and are final .

It is how the right – to – work  – related issues should have been handled two years ago . They were passes independently , in an  individual bill . As a result , they were vulnerable to an initiative ,  and they were attacked , and then repealed . They should have been put in  the budget that was just completed on Sunday . If they had been , they would still bie a part of the law .

.. Late – Term Abortions are Sacred ?!?# ..

… House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was adamant that late-term abortions are “sacred” at her weekly press conference today.  The issue of abortion has re-emerged due to Rep. Trent Franks’ (R-Arizona) bill, which would ban the procedure after 20 weeks into a pregnancy.  The Weekly Standard was present at the conference, and noted that Pelosi wrongly claimed that Franks’ bill would ban all abortions.  In reality, it would bar the killing of babies during the last four months of a pregnancy, with exceptions for the life and health of the mother.  John McCormack, who reported on this development, noted that this is also the “point at which science indicates babies can feel pain and some babies can survive long-term if born.”

.. Yet Pelosi, a Catholic, feels that “this [late-term abortion] is sacred ground to me when we talk about this. I don’t think it should have anything to do with politics.”  Sadly, when you work on the Hill, everything is politics.  Additionally, when pressed about the moral difference between Gosnell’s actions and those of Leroy Carhart, who was caught in a Live Action investigative video agreeing to a legal abortion in Maryland at 28 weeks, fireworks ensued.

.. from the Weekly Standard ..

THE WEEKLY STANDARD: Madam Leader, you mentioned the bill that passed out of the House Judiciary   committee. Members    who  have proposed that bill have done that in the wake of this murder trial in   Philadelphia.

They argue that there really isn’t much of a moral difference between what someone like Dr. Gosnell did   to infants born at 23, 24, 25

Nancy Pelosi

weeks into pregnancy, and what can happen [legally] at a clinic down the   road in Maryland where a doctor says he’ll perform an   elective abortions 28 weeks into pregnancy. So the   question I have for you is what is the moral difference between what Dr. Gosnell did to a baby born   alive at 23 weeks and aborting her moments before birth?

PELOSI: You’re probably enjoying that question a lot, I can see you savoring it. [Laughter in press   corps] Let me just tell you this.

TWS: Could you answer the question?

PELOSI: Let me just tell you this. What was done in Philadelphia was reprehensible and everybody   condemned it. For them to decide to disrespect a judgment a woman makes about her reproductive health is   reprehensible. Next question.

TWS: So what’s the moral difference? I just asked a simple question. … What’s the moral difference then   between 26 weeks elective abortion and the killing of that same infant born alive. This is the issue   that they’re trying to–

PELOSI: This is not the issue. They are saying that there’s no abortion. It would make it a federal law   that there would be no abortion in our country. You’re taking the extreme case. You’re taking the   extreme case. And what I’m saying to you what happened in Philadelphia was reprehensible. And I do not   think you.

TWS: [Inaudible]

PELOSI: I’m not going to have this conversation with you because you obviously have an agenda. You’re   not interested in having an answer.

TWS: [Inaudible]

PELOSI: I’ve responded to you to the extent that I’m going to respond to you. Because I want to tell you   something. As the mother of five children, my oldest child was 6 years old the day I brought my 5th   child home from the hospital, as a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when   we talk about this. I don’t think it should have anything to do with politics. And that’s where you’re   taking it and I’m not going there.

TWS [after tape ends]: It was a simple question. You didn’t answer.

So, there you have it. The leader of House Democrats has endorsed late-term abortion, she considers it   sacred, and any questions that are critical of infanticide are “disrespectful” to women.  A baby at 20   weeks is not a”judgement” on “reproductive health.” It’s a person, and to terminate that child is   murder.    Liberals know this, which is why Pelosi ran away.

From government telling us what to do to the life of the mother superseding that of her child, it is all   part of the top-down model liberals have for civil society.  What’s even more depraved is the fact that   child murder is “sacred” in the eyes of the political left.   from [the Weekly Standard] …

.. the thing is , Nancy Pelosi is a “practising Catholic (sic) , ” and she is Pro – Death . My God , what a colossal hypocrite ! She should be excommunicated on the spot .

… The Death Penalty for Gosnell ?!?! …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,May 14th,2013

… to be honest , I believe that he should get it . Three times . One for each time that he was found guilty of 1st degree murder of an innocent . Especially , it would be poetic justice . Gosnell was morally guilty of far , far more , in the murder of so many more innocents . So , the ultimate price would be fitting .

.. Now that the jury has found Kermit Gosnell guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and dozens of other charges, the trial’s sentencing phase begins a week from tomorrow. Gosnell will possibly face the death penalty .

.. But should the Butcher of Philadelphia be executed ? My feeling is Yes . It would be poetic justice . Justice for the three innocents that he did murder , and was convicted of doing so at his criminal trial . Justice for the many , many more innocents that he murdered throughout the years , but for which he was not charged with a criminal offense . Justice for the butchery to the malpractice that he committed throughout his career .

.. Talking about arrogance , though . Whether you might agree , or not ,  consider this story from last week :

According to [Philadelphia reporter] J.D. Mullane, a source told him that when   Sheriff’s deputies called Gosnell by his first name – Kermit – the abortionist   demanded in response, “You will call me Doctor Gosnell.”   To which the deputies shot back: “You’re just an inmate now, Kermit.”

.. Gosnell spent most of the trial smirking . He still seems to regard himself as a medical professional , above all this moral wrangling over abortion. Fine. Debase and embarrass the good doctor . But , do so with an appropriate punishment .

.. Death ..

… Got Him !! [Kermit Gosnell] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,May 14th,2013

.. Kermit Gosnell is going to jail . And , hopefully , he is soon going to meet his maker .

.. Yesterday ,  the jury in his criminal trial completed its work , and reached verdicts in the criminal case . On the important points , Kermit Gosnell was found guilty of 3 of 4 1st degree murder charges . And , for the most part , he was found guilty on many of the other counts .

.. Found Guilty on 21 of 24 felony charges , including the murder charges , overall . Found guilty on 211 of 227 other charges , largely 1st degree and 2nd degree misdemeanors , on abortion – related , and notification – related charges .

.. I am most definitely pro – life , but I do not always follow the leading pro – life sites and blogs . Yesterday , thankfully , I remembered to . Legal Insurrection carried a blogstory , linking to a story , that I now link to , one written by a excellent reporter , LifeNews ‘ Steven Ertelt . Thank You , Steven , for all of your excellent work .

… It is a Gosnell World …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Monday,May 13th,2013

.. What is it that makes people , including the LameStreamMedia , all but ignore the horrors perpetrated by Kermit Gosnell . Why ? Why do they only have a passing interest in this incredibly gruesome case ? What can be done about it ?

.. The LSM has done a horrendous job of covering this story , if and or when they have covered the story at all . They are notoriously inhumane , if conscious at all , on the subject of abortion . Some have said that the mainstream media has done a poor job of covering this man and his evil deeds , because its agenda does not include honesty on the subject of abortion .

.. Life does not go on and has not for more than 50 million human beings in America. For 40 years it has been legal and culturally acceptable for a mother to pay a third party to have her baby killed . And for more than 40 years it has been legal for doctors to prescribe chemicals to their female patients that will affect their bodies in such a way that they will not get pregnant or, if they do, the baby will die before he or she is a week old. Few women are ever told this because the practice of obstetrics has been in the deception business for a very long time, at least when it comes to sexual relations and pregnancy . This is why so few abortion proponents ever mention the word “baby.” It is bad for business.

.. Gosnell ‘ s story is a indignity and an outrage . It is a horror beyond words . He is in many ways the poster bost for murder and mayhem in our country . He has terrorized and killed babies, maimed women, and only God knows what else with impunity since 1972. But then he got sloppy and murdered one too many babies born alive after abortion . To my mind no end is in sight for such stories — not until my fellow Americans come to realize that human beings exist from the point of their creation and that their lives are not debatable. They are not fungible , nor are they disposable.

.. Abortion has dimmed our sense of decency and dignity , especially where human life , and its preservation is concerned . Abortion has dulled our appreciation for the human being. Abortion has facilitated our denial that selfless love is more important than self gratification . The result of that , though , is apathy , and that is what the Gosnell trial is about — apathy that dismisses humanity for the sake of convenience.

… on Kermit Gosnell …

suspect # 1

suspect # 1

mass murderer !!

mass murderer !!

.. I was typing my impressions on my laptop , based upon the FoxNewsChannel special on Friday , May 3rd , 2013 . It gave , at least to me , a fairly full , yet succint account of Kermit Gosnell , and his antics . I am including a copy of the Grand Jury Report , for those who want to read it . I have , for the most part . Once the trial is over , I am going to re-read it , in detail .

.. and , do so on an empty stomach .

.. my god , what a murderous butcher !

.. what is taking the criminal trial jury so long . It is a plain and simple , cut and

dried case . He should and will be found guilty , but of what . the Grand Jury Rpt . is

comprehensive , complete , and horrifying .

.. K.G. was never a board – certified ob – gyn , as are most murderer/abortionistas .

He took advantage of many , many people , his circumstances , his beginnings , his

situation , and , most of all , the patients to which their care was entrusted to him

and his staff .

.. He began taking advantage of people early on (early 1970s) , from Chicago , pre –

Roe . Mutilated many of them .

.. Charged outrageous rates for murders . especially late – term and illegal ones .

Became notorious throughout the Eastern U.S. for his late – term antics , and for his butchery , yet people did nothing about it . Why ?

.. Delivered live babies , yes , live , and murdered them . Falsified records .

Horrendously imcompetent and barbaric pratice , if one can call it that .

.. [PUKE !!]

.. delivered “slits” to the back of a number of infants ‘ necks , thus killing them .

His staff finally , at least , showed some sense of humanity , and began documenting

what was happening  .

.. The “conditions” at the Gosnell clinic were beyond barbaric and horrendous . How

could politicians in Pennsylvania (Ridge & Rendell Administrations) stand by and do

absolutely nothing , for so many years . Especially since the news of what was going on

, where , when , and why , and to whom , gradually was getting out .

… more to come ! My God !!

… Barbaric , and Why ? …

Judge tosses several counts against #Gosnell , many others remain

..  The prosecution needs to prove its case against Kermit Gosnell beyond a reasonable doubt on each and every count . ..

.. Apparently it did not do that on some counts  ,  particularly 1st Degree Murder as to three of the babies , so the Judge tossed the charges at the close of the prosecution’s case.  The key issue seems to have been whether the prosecution proved the babies were born alive, as opposed to having been killed in the womb . ..

.. Several murder and other counts remain, so while this obviously is disheartening given the testimony we have heard about what went on in the clinic, the search for justice is not over . ..

Judge tosses three murder counts against Kermit Gosnell:

After hearing impassioned arguments from attorneys on both sides of the Kermit Gosnell capital-murder trial Tuesday, a Philadelphia judge threw out three of the seven first-degree murder charges Gosnell faced for allegedly killing fetuses born alive at his abortion clinic.

Also dismissed by the judge was one count of infanticide – the intentional killing of an infant. All other counts against Gosnell, 72, will be decided by the jury, the judge ruled.

In addition to counts of first-degree murder for killing four babies allegedly born alive, those charges include the third-degree murder of a patient who died of a drug overdose following a botched 2009 abortion and multiple counts of preforming illegal, late-term abortions….

Gosnell’s attorney, Jack McMahon, argued that all seven counts regarding the fetuses should be dismissed. None were born alive, he said, all having been injected with death-causing drugs during the abortion process. Assistant District Attorney Edward Cameron argued that there had been enough testimony from former clinic employees that the seven babies were born alive to let the jury decide .

.. Okay , okay , most of the case remains . Just not as much as one would have hoped . Gosnell will get his just desserts , and soon enough . Given the prosecution case on the other counts , and the thoroughness of the grand jury report , Kermit Gosnell will meet his maker , and soon . I believe that he will be found guilty on at least one 1st degree murder charge (likely , more) , and receive the death penalty . That penalty cannot come soon enough . ..
