… The Bergdahl Case sets a Terrible Precedent …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Saturday,June 28th,2014

.. Bowe Bergdahl is an Army Sergeant who was captured on the battlefield by a faction of the Taliban in the summer of 2009 . He was captured , fair and square , evidently , by the enemy , and has been held captive ever since then …

.. now , Bergdahl has been freed . The ObamaCrap Administraton has made a political deal , trading 5 high value Talibani detainees at Guantanamo Bay , Cuba in order for Sgt Bergdahl ‘ s release . Why ? Why did they do this ? For What reason(s) ? …

.. I feel and think that this act sets a terrible precedent for US policy . It puts a price on the head of every US soldier , sailor , airman , and Marine . It sends a horrible message to friend and foe alike , that we will negotiate with an adversary in order to free our people . Doing a deal with POWs is one thing , but dealing with someone who is a hostage is something else . It is very , very , wrong …

.. We should have worked harder to locate a POW . Any POW . If and when we locate them , then we go in and get them . We make it clear to the enemy that we will hold them accountable for the safety and security of our people , and will retaliate and penalize those who brutalize and torture our people . Also , we should send a message , that we reserve the right to come after our people . Our people are a free people , and we will pay any price , short of negotiation , to get them back . We reserve the right to come in after them …

… BenghaziGate : the Next Step …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,May 8th,2014

.. now , we will have a select committee in the House of Representatives . Eventually , I believe , there will also be one in the Senate , as well ..

.. Good . it is about time ..

.. Trey Gowdy will be an excellent chairman . He should be fast , daring , and aggressive . Also , he should make it clear from the beginning that he will take no crap from anyone …

.. What happens with the ObamaCraps ? …

.. good question . the folks who have worked at Executive Branch Agencies are subject to subpoena . They will be invited to testify . If they show the slightest inclination to stall , then Wham ! . Out comes the subpoena ! ..

.. people who work for the Executive Office of the President [which includes the National Security Council] are a different matter . They cannot technically be subpoenaed . However , if the Executive Branch stalls , as is the case already , a subpoena could well be possible . It would cause all sorts of separation of powers problems , but if the Exec Branch is screwing around , the Judicial Branch would enforce a subpoena …

.. POTUS should make his senior people available to testify . He should , but  he will not , unless  pressured .
