.. the ObamaCraps propagated the Big Lie on your doctor , your insurance , and your medicine . Back in 2010 , they knew very well that millions of people were going to lose their insurance ….
.. [h/t — http://www.theGatewayPundit.com]
.. [link] to the videos ..
.. then they proceeded to repeat the lie , over and over again ..
.. In the coming year , it will get worse . Much worse . The business market is going to subject to the same problems that that the indivdual health insurance market is going through , now . The requirements of ObamaCrapCare [the essential benefits packages , the regulations , the med loss ratio invasion , among many] are going to make what is going on this fall look like a garden party , by comparison . Guess What is also coming up ?
.. the 2014 Congressional midterm elections . The economy is not in the best of shape , the job market sucks , inflation could well take off , and the federales are monkeying around with people ‘ s health care — just in time for the Midterms . The DemoCraps are running scared , especially in districts and states that are at least decently competitive .
.. It will help the GOP to gain seats in the House of Representatives . How many , God knows . The Senate is in play , though . 3 to 4 seats , net , are likely to flip to the GOP , meaning the Republicans need at least 3 more seats (net) to take over the Senate . The way things are going , it could be a whole lot more than that …

.. so , His Lordship makes another unilateral change ?
.. It appears that POTUS & Co have made another unilateral change to ObamaCrapCare . They did it once again without any consultation with or the agreement of Congress . As is supposed to be done under our Constitution …
.. Those who have lost their insurance policies under ObamaCrapCare have been made temporarily exempt from the individual mandate . I believe that it does not apply to those folks who have lost their policies this year … I think that the ObamaCraps have the folks who will lose their policies in the coming year in mind . It is not only that …
.. They have now been made (somehow) eligible for the catastrophic insurance policies . These policies were supposed to only be open to those under 30 years of age . Now , those catastrophic policies will be open to many , many more people . Not just several hundred thousand people , though . It will result in millions being made eligible for those policies …
.. Remember , it is not just this year (2013) that is in mind , but 2014 as well . I can imagine the insurance companies are just going to love this . Another unilateral change that screws with the metrics of their business ….
if it keeps up , then , sooner or later , it is going to cause one or more companies to withdraw further from the states , in order to preserve their remaining business , and concentrate on the state(s) where these folks are the strongest …

.. Senator Jeff Sessions [R – Al] has turned into one hell of a senator .
.. He has made it into the G.O.P. leadership . He is the ranking member of (I believe) the Budget Committee . He may well also be the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee . Not bad . He was once a judicial nominee to the federal District Court by Ronaldus Magnus [Reagan] , and his nomination was filibustered (and thence stopped) by the DemoCraps . This happened to a fine man , one who would have made a fine judge . However , he would go on to bigger and better things …
.. Once Howell Heflin announced his retirement , Sessions sought his seat , and won it .
.. [h/t — http://www.RealClearPolitics.com] ..
.. [link] to the a/v
.. Sessions made an appearance on the Mark Levin radio show . What he was referring to was a provision in the recent Budget agreement , one that only applies to the Senate . It was one that the DemoCraps , I think , wanted dearly .
.. It changes Senate rules , temporarily . For purposes of the current environoment , it allows only 50 votes to waive provisons of the upcoming Budget Act for spending [but , not for tax cuts , i will bet] .

.. before , you literally had to choose to apply for Medicaid .
.. when I fell ill , and was medically confined to where I live (with good reason , then , and now [to a point]) , I had to choose to apply for Medicaid . I actually had a choice . Not much of one .
.. Yea , right , not much of one . I would have had a sky – high liability for my bill , with virtually no $$ to pay it . So , choosing not to was not much of an option …My finances had been flattened . I am completing the process of going through Bankruptcy . Also , because of the severity and the chronic nature of all of this , my student loans [all of them] will be discharged . So , I will be able to start out fresh . But , I could choose to apply for Medicaid …
.. Not now . If your income is of a certain level , BOOM , in you go to Medicaid . You do not get to choose , and go to get private insurance . The government sticking its nose into this intimate choice in my life is offensive …

.. don’t worry , folks , this time , this one is a good story about health insurance reform .
.. these three guys (young 20-somethings) took it upon themselves to create something working . Well , guess what ? They did it ! They created a really simple website , entitled ” TheHealthSherpa.com . ” It holds up to a old rule , ie K.I.S.S. , keep it simple , stupid .
.. Incredibly , for over three years , the government managed to blow thru over $600 million . They have created the technology – equivalent of a clusterf**k . And these guys did this . It is far simpler , and is very easy to use .
.. You can scan over the offerings , very quickly , very easily . You can change the entry items , if you need to , and the site will not regurgitate or crash .
.. Though the government engaged outside companies for various aspects of the project, it chose to put bureaucrats within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in charge of overall project management, “despite the fact that CMS has no experience managing large IT projects.” Compounding the likelihood that the train wreck which has occurred would occur, project managers appear to have mostly fiddled for over 2-1/2 years to ensure that most controversial matters would be kept from the public until after the 2012 elections.
The bureaucratic control freaks convinced the obviously incompetent project managers that the government simply had to have a mountain of information about each potential applicant before they could even be allowed to shop for plans. Then things went from merely disgraceful to utterly inexcusable. We now know that Sebelius’s crew opened HealthCare.gov despite being warned just four days before its launch that it would be “a ‘high’ security risk” for users “because of a lack of testing.”
No private firm would launch under these circumstances — and if any did, law enforcement would be frog-marching company executives to jail within days.
LEC again .. I am including a [link] to the site [h/t — pjmedia.com] , and to a fellow ohio blogger , Tom Blumer . He blogs at w^3.bizzyblog.com , and has a column at pjmedia (the one I linked to above) ..
.. how come ? — the CBS news site that I was trying to call up was a little unconventional . So , it is easier to call up Tom ‘ s pjmedia.com column , and launch the news piece from there .

.. these days , Meet the Press [Meet the DePressed] is largely a lost cause .
Tim Russert (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
.. Why ? David Gregory .
.. He is an empty suit for a reporter if there is ever one . He generally is clueless as to tough questions . Forget about anyone of a conservative bent getting a fair hearing with Gregory . If NBC Snooze were not such a sad sack (principally due to lack of talent , the rest due to the loons at pMSNBC) , the higher ups at the network would be able to find someone with a fair bit of talent . Tim Russert has to be turning over in his grave at the state of his old show . Even Garrick Utley did a top flight job , next to Gregory .

.. you need to see this video clip [here] .
.. It is about a California woman . Her name is Diane van Peursem , normally a housewife . She is a mother of two children , and is a part – time worker at Disneyland . She was abruptly dropped by her insurance carrier , courtesy of the “essential benefits” rules enacted by the ObamaCraps in ObamaCrapCare .
A California woman was abruptly dropped from her insurance company.
Deanne Van Peursem, mother of a teenage daughter and part time worker at Disneyland was notified via a letter that her that her current insurance plan did not meet the requirements set by Obamacare and that she was being dropped from coverage with their company.
Van Peursem is one of the 1.1 million Californians whose health insurance was dropped due to harsh regulations imposed by Obamacare. Obamacare has ten minimum standards, including: maternity care, emergency visits, and mental health treatment.
Van Peursem told KCAL- “We need to find other means for people who are very low income to be able to afford the insurance.”
She spoke honestly when asked by KCAL what she thought of Obama’s last-ditch attempt to remedy the Obamacare disaster on Thursday by allowing Americans to keep their current health insurance plans, “I think he was dishonest about it because I understand that everybody is supposed to have healthcare, that they [the Obama administration] want everybody to have healthcare, but it’s still hard because there’s people who still cannot afford it.”

.. this I picked up from CNSnews . com …
CNSNews.com) – National Park Service (NPS) rangers removed the handles from some 40 public water pumps and closed
Map of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, along the former Chesapeake and Ohio Canal between Cumberland, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., USA. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
restrooms in the 184.5 mile- C&O Canal National Historical Park, but they haven’t been able to keep hikers and bikers off the popular trail known as a “cyclist’s dream.”
“It’s full every day,” said Gail Hall, who runs Mountain Side Bikes at the trailhead in Cumberland, Md. “They’re bringing in their own water and utilizing the tree-lined areas [of the park] for restrooms. Some towns like Harper’s Ferry even brought in potties to accommodate them. As long as they can pedal, they don’t care.”
Cumberland Times-News reporter Matthew Bieniek, who first reported that the handles on the park’s old-fashioned water pumps had been removed as part of the federal government shutdown, told CNSNews.com that Park Superintendent Kevin Brandt told him that the pumps had been disabled “to discourage people from attempting to use the park.”
But Michael Nardolilli, president of the non-profit C&O Canal Historical National Park Trust, which runs interpretive programs at the park’s historic lockhouses, later said that the pump handles were removed for “public health reasons.”
“The State of Maryland requires the park to monitor 40 public wells for contaminants every two weeks,” he told CNSNews.com. “When the park was shut down on October 1st, they furloughed the park employees who do the testing,” and the park was “not in compliance with Maryland water quality standards.”
Nardolilli added that C&O is home to “1,300 historical structures, more than any other unit in the National Park Service,” and “60 rare or endangered species.” He said there are currently “no eyes and ears to protect these resources” because the “handful of Park Police still on duty” are too busy patrolling the entrances to the park’s 15,000 acres in a futile attempt to keep people out.
As of Monday, there were no barriers on the footpaths in Cumberland leading to the towpath, which stretches along the Potomac River to Washington, D.C., Bieniek confirmed. “A lot of people are riding their bikes on the towpath. I have not heard about a single person being asked to leave” since the park officially closed, he added.
Nardolilli said he also has not heard any reports that people who enter the park are being arrested or given citations by park police. Neither has Hall. “No one has reported any problems,” she said.
The 150-mile Great Alleghany Passage, which runs from Pittsburgh, Penn. and joins the C&O Canal towpath in Cumberland, is run by a private non-profit and is still open as usual, Hall said. And all but a few NPS-funded campgrounds along the route are also open for business.
The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, which was chartered by President James Monroe, opened in 1828 to allow horse-and mule-pulled barges to transport coal, lumber and agricultural products to Washington. It was used as a shipping lane until 1924.
.. LEC here — It is nice to see that the non – profits and the locals along the trail have picked up the ball . The trail was going to get activity , in any case . They moved and acted to see that the visitors along the way would be taken care of , and would not be forgotten about …
.. Northeast Ohio (where I am from) has done something fairly similar . We in Ohio have only one national park in the entire state . It is the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area , which was created in 1974 , and designated as a national park in 2001 .
.. It is , as you might expect , is officially “closed . ” However , the length of the recreation area is a transportation and recreation thoroughfare for folks throughout the region (Greater Cleveland and Greater Akron) … Even if they wanted to zip it up tight , they could not . Hopefully , they have not gotten this petty , as the National Park Service has been in the D.C./Maryland/WV/Pa region .. Boy , have they ever , from millions of tweets …

.. ya might think , huh ?
.. yea , this is serious . Normally , you would go and get your expert advice from a C.P.A. , a tax consultant , or a tax expert who is a tax lawyer . You get it from the private sector . Now , if you have political connections , you just might end up getting a little higher level of assistance . But this high ?
.. I am talking about the actions of the Congressional Black Caucus . They ended up getting some serious high – level help ,
English: Douglas Shulman (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
indeed . Say , like the Commissioner of the I.R.S. , Douglas Shulman , and the Attorney General of the United States , Eric Holder . One might think , why ?
.. These folks are tasked with the enforcement of the law . They end up giving aid and assistance of a political nature to ministers and to churches , and they get it on , basically , how to “effectively evade” the law . Their advice tells the ministers and the churches where and how far that they can go without breaking the law during a political campaign …
… from the Daily Caller …
Eric Holder, IRS officials coached tax-exempt black ministers on how to engage in political activity
Posted By Patrick Howley On 3:21 PM 09/13/2013 In Politics | No Comments
Attorney General Eric Holder and IRS officials advised black ministers on how to engage in political activity during the 2012 election without violating their tax-exempt status.
Holder, then-IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman, and Peter Lorenzetti, a senior official in the scandal-plagued agency’s exempt organizations division, participated in a May 2012 training session for black ministers from the Conference of National Black Churches at the U.S. Capitol hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC). Holder spoke at the event.
“We’re going to, first of all, equip them with the information they need to know about what they can say and what they cannot
… Attorney General Eric Holder , Department of InJustice … (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
say in the church that would violate their 501(c)(3) status with the IRS,” said then-CBC chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a Democrat from Missouri. “In fact, we’re going to have the IRS administrator there. We’re going to have Attorney General Eric Holder there…the ACLU.”
Cleaver’s session advised black ministers on “draconian laws” including voter ID laws. Cleaver was a sharp critic during the 2012 campaign of Republican Mitt Romney’s policies.
As The Daily Caller has extensively reported, the IRS harassed conservative and tea party groups during the 2012 election cycle with improper reviews of their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt applications.
“[The CBC] had the IRS members there specifically to advise them on how far to go campaigning without violating their tax-exempt status,” George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley told The Daily Caller.
“I viewed the meeting as highly problematic. Eric Holder heads the agency that prosecutes organizations who give false information to the government. The Justice Department coordinates with the IRS on actions taken against not-for-profits. These ministries are given not-for-profit status on the basis that they are not engaging in any political activities. Here, the Obama administration was clearly encouraging them to maximize their efforts by showing them where the lines were drawn in federal case law,” Turley said.
“It is a fundamental precept that cabinet members should not engage in political activities. The most important of those cabinet members would be the attorney general of the United States. To have the attorney general actively advising political allies of the president showed remarkably poor judgment on his part,” Turley told TheDC.
“I believe this session undermined the integrity of the justice department, signaled to other Justice Department officials that the attorney general wants to support these black ministries as much as possible,” Turley said.
Obama won 93 percent of the black vote in 2012, according to exit polling.
“This event was open to all faiths, denominations, colors, creeds, and political affiliations,” Rep. Cleaver told TheDC in a statement. “We were pleased to have leaders from our government provide information on compliance with the law and participation in our electoral system.”
The IRS and DOJ did not return requests for comment.

Russian president Vladimir Putin’s recent op-ed in the New York Times is what you get from an American inept foreign policy, Charles Krauthammer said Thursday night.
“Well, these are the fruits of a completely incompetent, epically incompetent foreign policy,” Krauthammer said in his regular panel appearance on Special Report. He argued that the op-ed by Putin, whom he called “a KGB thug,” served as an “index” of how badly Obama has been “played.”
“What we’re seeing here is Putin so confident of himself after Obama had to acquiesce to this face-saving negotiation that he could actually engage in this,” Krauthammer said.

.. I wonder . POTUS seems to have a great deal of faith in his own abililties and his own intellectual superiority . It makes him to be one very arrogant bastard , that is for sure .
.. I would wonder if there is any kind of psychological (albeit political) evaluation . No , not an explicitly political one . A specifically
… well , it worked ! …
medical , i.e. a psychological one , or one of a psychiatric nature . It would make for very interesting reading , that is for sure . Considering what is going on over Syria right now , it would sure make for very interesting reading …
.. In this case , this one involves an Obama – style clone , soon – to – be former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd of Australia . You will find this short piece , from the Sydney Morning Herald , and the link to the longer one to the parent piece at the Australian Financial Review to be very interesting reading . It does take some understanding of Australian politics , but not much . I am not trying to be arrogant , at least I hope not .
.. Australia ‘ s legislature looks like it is similar in form to our Congress here in the U.S. . Not quite . The form , yes . The function , though , is a great deal more like a Westminster style Parliament . The lower House majority elects the Prime Minister , and , except in rare instances , the elections are held on a regular basis every three years .
.. Rudd politically knifed his predecessor , former PM Julia Gillard , just a few weeks ago . He was convinced that he was the candidate to take Australia ‘ s Labour party into the most recent general election . Well , she went , and he took over , and you might wonder what happened ? Guess ?
.. Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party / National Party coalition (the Tories) blew out Labour , and did it in style . The coalition won about 90 to 92 seats in Australia ‘ s lower House of Parliament , against 58 for Labour and their alies . Bombs Away ! Guess kevin got his just reward , and now it is off to the political wilderness for both Rudd and Gillard …

.. U.S. Senator Rand Paul [R-Ky] sharply criticized Secretary of State John Kerry for his statement that President Obama had the constitutional authority to order military intervention in Syria, telling him that if the U.S. Congress voted down authorization but Obama acted anyway, he would be “making a joke of us” and this would be mere “constitutional theater.” [link]
PAUL: Make me proud today, Secretary Kerry. Stand up for us and say you’re going to obey the Constitution, and if we vote you down, which is unlikely by the way, but if we do, you would go with what the people say through their Congress and you wouldn’t go forward with a war that your Congress votes against. Can you give me a better answer, Secretary Kerry?
KERRY: I can’t give you a different answer than the one I gave you. I don’t know what the president’s decision is, but I will tell you this. It ought to make you proud because he still has the constitutional authority, and he would be in keeping with the Constitution.
PAUL: Well, I disagree with you there. I don’t believe he has the constitutional authority. I think Congress has this. Madison was very explicit. When he wrote the Federalist Papers, he wrote that history supposes, or the Constitution supposes what history demonstrates, that the Executive is the branch most likely to go to war and therefore the Constitution vested that power in the Congress. It’s explicit and runs throughout all of Madison’s writings. This power is a Congressional power and is not an Executive power. They didn’t say big war, small war. They didn’t say boots on the ground, not boots on the ground. They said declare war. Ask the people on the ships launching the missiles whether they’re involved with war or not. If we do not say the Constitution applies, if we do not say explicitly that we will abide by this vote, you’re making a joke of us. You’re making us into theater, and so we play constitutional theater for the president. If this is real, you will abide by the verdict of Congress. You’re probably going to win. Just got ahead and say it’s real and let’s have a real debate in this country and not a meaningless debate that in the end you lose and say, ‘Oh well, we had the authority anyway, we’re going to go ahead and go to war anyway.’

.. what are we doing ? and , why ?
.. Secretary of State John Boy Kerry was testifying today in front of the United States Senate Foreign Affairs Committee , attempting to make the case for intervention in Syria . Yes , intervention in Syria . At least John Boy was being a fair bit more honest .
.. Sure , he was hemming and hawing . He was still trying to play the old political game of “pin the Tail on the Donkey ” …on Congress . But , he was not doing all that well at it . Not that either the DummyCraps or the G.O.P. were shying away from the topic . Far from it . They want the ObamaCrap Administration to step up and make the case . Which , so far , the ObamaCraps have done a piss poor job of doing .
.. See for yourself , as JohnBoy tries to answer U.S. Senator Ron Johnson [R-Ws] ‘ s questions on the subject at hand … [link] …

English: Samantha Power Harvard Law Class Day 2010 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
.. and what is she not doing ?!?!
.. it is abundantly clear that the Bashaar Assad regime in Syria has made use of chemical weapons in its civil war . POTUS had , at a time , set forth some sort of “red line” that the use of chemical weapons would be a “game changer . ” Well , guess what happened ?
.. You got it . Nothing . Absolutely Nothing . Also , our new U.N. Ambassador , Samantha Power , was AWOL from an urgent U.N. Security Council meeting . Not that anything of consequence would have happened . There would not have been a damn thing . Not with the Russkies and the Chinese running blocker for the bad guys of the world at the U.N. . Especially with a wus in the White House .
.. Yes , a Wus in the White House . That is exactly what we have for a POTUS . At least with George W. Bush , you knew where you stood on the international stage . We were respected , and our word was good . With Barack Obama , we look weak , feckless , indecisive , and leaderless … even if you-know-who understood the meaning of the damn word .

.. the Department of poor Health and inHuman Services is sponsoring a contest , of some sorts . You might be wondering , what for ? I would also wonder , why them ?
.. These idiots are trying to promote ObamaCrapCare , that is obvious . For it to have any chance of any kind of success , HHS needs many young people to enroll in health insurance . Especially subsidized health insurance , courtesy of the exchanges . They need it to work . Otherwise , financially and morally . ObamaCrapCare will not work . Well , guess what ?
.. ObamaCrapCare will never work . The young are not stupid . The ones that are employed , they may well get their insurance through their employer . That is , if they still have a job , or , likely have full – time employment . The employers are not dumb . The penalty for dumping employeees into the exchanges and paying the penalty is not all that large , at all . Especially when compared (either if self – insured , or normally insured) with the current cost of health insurance . Which is going up , no matter what the cost ?
.. Why ? ObamaCrapCare is pushing all sorts of mandates . Any and all kinds of mandates . Many of them which are totally and wholly unnecessary . Which will jack up the costs even further , to near Cadillac – type policies . Which , in most cases , are entirely unnecessary , as well .
… this piece is from the Washington Free Beacon . You have to see this stupidity …
Obama Administration Announces Youth Obamacare Video Contest
Law actually discourages young people to sign up, experts say
.. The Obama administration is co-sponsoring a video contest aimed at convincing young people to sign up for health insurance, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on Monday.
..The contest offers thousands of dollars in cash prizes to the winners, along with a “Stay Healthy Kit” to the first 100 participants. The kit contains a first aid kit, sun-protection kit, t-shirt, and water bottle.
..HHS partnered with Young Invincibles, a health care advocacy group, to run the contest. It is unclear who is funding the contest. The prize kit is “Brought to you by CMS Marketplace & Young Invincibles,” according to the website. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is the federal agency in charge of the insurance exchanges.
..Neither Young Invincibles nor HHS returned inquiries about the source of funding for the contest.
.. HHS released a promotional video on Monday, as well. The video features images of a man falling off of a skateboard with the text “you are NOT invincible” below him and a clip of a person strumming a guitar, with a dubstep track in the background.
..“Soon the Health Insurance Marketplace will give uninsured young people the opportunity to enroll in affordable health insurance, and the Healthy Young America video contest will help them tell their stories to other young people,” HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in the statement.
..Participants have three options for the kind of video they can make: a video showing how they could need health insurance; a song; or a digital animation.
The insurance exchanges will open for enrollment on Oct. 1. The public will be able to vote on the best videos between Oct. 1 and Oct. 15.
The goal of the exchanges is to make insurance more affordable, but the structure of the exchanges actually works against that goal, experts say.
Two aspects of the law actually increase the cost of health insurance for young people, said Ed Haislmaier, a health policy expert at the Heritage Foundation.
First, insurance companies can only charge older people three times what they would charge younger people for the same plan. This rule compresses the typical spread of prices, causing the price of insurance for younger and healthier individuals to rise in order to subsidize the artificially low price for older people, Haislmaier said.
Second, all insurance plans have certain requirements for what they must cover and how they are structured, further driving up costs for younger people, he noted.
Failing to attract enough young people could hurt the viability of the insurance plans offered in the exchanges, said Sally Pipes, president of the Pacific Research Institute.
“It’s going to kill insurance companies,” she said.
Millions of young people could save more than a thousand dollars next year by not signing up for insurance and paying the penalty, according to a study released last week by the National Center for Public Policy Research.

.. and that CNN and NBC will not be able to participate in the upcoming debate season . At least one that is sponsored by the
Seal of the RNC (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Republican National Committee , or by those of the State parties .
.. A Unanimous vote helps . So would some more concrete steps by the parties to incentivize or penalize the states in continuing to go along . The candidates , well , that is another issue . Getting them to co – operate may not be all that easy . Hopefully , they will see the wisom of the manuveur . Once more than one does so , the other candidates will eventually be forced to follow suit .
