Posted by paulfromwloh on Saturday,July 19th,2014

.. FoxNews correspondent Ed Henry had JoshBoy Earnest by the balls during a recent briefing at the White House …

.. [h/t — WashingtonFreeBeacon]..

.. Henry was trying to pin Earnest down about recent comments , including those of Senate lack-of-Majority Leader Dingy Harry Reid , that the U.S. border was , in effect , ” secure … ”

… Now He is Out [#JayBoy Carney]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Wednesday,June 4th,2014

.. well , he finally gave up the ghost . Evidently , this one has been coming (under the radar) for some time …

.. considering his grave loss of credibility , he needed to go . JayBoy had lost his effectiveness and usefulness to the administration . Staying any longer would have made no sense ..

.. at least now , his deputy (and successor) Josh Earnest can make a fresh start . Earnest has almost the perfect name for the job , that is for sure . He almost has the ideal temperament , too . JoshBoy is a lot less arrogant than Carney is , by far . JayBoy has always been an arrogant ass when in the media , and as Press Secretary , he has gotten a great deal worse . At least now , he can hit the meat and potatoes circuit and make the bucks …

.. considering what may be coming down the road , JoshBoy Earnest is going to need all of the help that he can get …

… Go Get ‘ Em Carl [DeMaio] !! …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Monday,June 2nd,2014

.. Carl DeMaio is one tough customer .

.. He is a candidate for US Congress from California ‘ s 52nd Congressional District . He will stand for election on Tuesday in the state ‘ s ” jungle ” primary , where all comers stand for election . Only the top two vote – getters move on to the general election on November 5th …

.. He made the news again this week . Unfortunately , it was of the not-so-good kind . His campaign headquarters in San Diego was vandalized and totally trashed by parties unknown . Given the tactics of the current campaign , people suspect the campaign of his opponent , demoCrap Representative Rob Peters or gay rights interest groups in the Greater San Diego area . How foolish would that be , especially just before the election …

.. [h/t — m.NationalReview]..
.. [link] to the article…

.. DeMaio is a Republican , is openly gay . He is very heavily expected to advance to the general election without much trouble . He has had more grief from gay – rights groups on the left than from the DemoCraps or from his own party .

.. Tuesday will be an interesting night . There will be primary elections in California and 8 other states . It will mark the halfway point in the 2014 primary election season . In this race , the important thing will be , first , who gets through [likely deMaio and Peters] . Second , is what vote totals that they get . So , why is the vote important ..

.. between the dirty tricks by the gay – rights crowd and the antics by now – jailed ” filthy ” Bob Filner , both scandals are having an effect on San Diego politics . Now , the question is how much in the congressional race , which , ironically , is for ” Filthy ‘ s ” old congressional seat , more or less . The better a candidate does in the primary , the better that they are positioned for the general election …

.. it would especially be important for deMaio to finish first , or a close second . If he finished a strong first , then he becomes a favourite in the general election ..

… Nailed !! Eco – Weenies get cooked by Project Veritas …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Sunday,May 25th,2014

.. [h/t — NiceDeb]..
.. [link] to the Project Veritas undercover video footage …

.. these folks [Ed Begley , Jr. and Mariel Hemmingway] have had their reputations seriously damaged . They were willing to get financing for their ” project ” from a Middle Eastern oil sheik [a Project Veritas operative posing undercover as the sheik] . Worse yet , they were willing to cover up the source of the funding ….

.. Unfortunately , they are not going to get into any legal trouble for this subterfuge . Covering up the source of the funding for the financing of the project is putting forth a fraud on the populace . Those two idiots deserve every bit of humiliation that they get …

.. Monica is now an empathetic figure . When you and your name has (have) become a cocktail party joke , so guess what ? Does that make Miz Hillary and Mr. Bill sympathetic figures . I would say no , not at all …

.. Miz Hillary is not going to have a fun time the next couple of weeks . With social media and Facebook , she is going to go through Chinese Water Torture in the media . Except that it will not be all that bad …

… Boy , has JohnBoy put his Foot in It Now [Apartheid Comments]…

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,May 1st,2014

.. I can understand , even for JohnBoy , going to speak to the Trilateral Commission ..

.. but , jeez , even these comments ..

.. Kerry should have damn well known better . In this day and age , one as a public figure must treat each and every microphone as a ” hot ” mike . It must be treated as on , and any speech is subject to being recorded …

.. good lord , even ” behind closed doors . ” Parties have a very good habit of infiltrating each others ‘ fundraisers and getting recordings of things that politicians and public figures thought would be ” private . ” Just ask Mitt Romney and Donald Sterling …

.. is it a firing offense ? I have my own opinion , still to come in a future post  …

… Great Campaign Ad (Oregon US Senate) …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,April 29th,2014

.. Dr. Monica Wehby [Web – by] is a pediatric surgeon . She made a tough call , and stood foursquare by her patient when she needed her most , when she was pregnant , and her child ‘ s life was in danger . The results stand for themselves …

.. [h/t — theRightScoop]..

.. normally , Monica Wehby would face long odds in a light – blue state such as Oregon . This is no ordinary year , and Oregon ‘ s state government is in a disastrous mess . It will turn the politics and the campaign trail upside down . Dr. Wehby now will have a very real chance to unseat the incumbent , Jeff Merkely …

.. I would definitely vote for her , and I think that she just might do it ..

… Julie Boonstra counterattacks …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,February 27th,2014

.. she is the Michigan resident and cancer patient who is dealing with the crippling effects of ObamaCrapCare on her health insurance policy , her overall health care , and

.. she became famous as the result of issue ads run by Americans for Prosperity / Michigan . They intervened in the open seat US Senate race in Michigan , the one being vacated by Carl Levin . She also became famous because the subject of the issue ad , Representative Gary Peters [D-Mi] has attacked her with a cheap shot .

.. Peters wants to have control of his campaign message . Who wouldn’t . In this day and age , you have to deal with interest groups , and even private individuals running political ads . Technically , anyone with money can do so . Peters is , however , playing foul , by abusing his office .

.. Peters ‘ Senate campaign has been going around to various TV stations that broadcast into Michigan . That would include , in theory , Ohio , Northern Indiana , and Chicagoland , in addition to Michigan proper . The campaign has been grossly abusing the powers of his office by threatening their broadcast licences , among other offences , for airing the A.F.P. ads . Vulgar , huh ?

.. Yea , it is . She is fighting back , thankfully . This morning [Monday 02/24/2014] , she appeared on ” Fox and Friends ” for an interview . I heartily recommend it …

… Why I support Arizona ‘ s Religious Freedom Bill …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Monday,February 24th,2014

.. and I most strongly urge Governor Jan Brewer to sign it .

..  one of the chief reason is to make sure that people get to celebrate their religious liberty — and are not forced to be compelled to produce a product or service against their will . Just because people go into business does not mean that they forfeit their constitutional rights . They still have the right to make decisions in their business based upon their religious faith and religious precepts . The First Amendment to the Constitution should still mean something in practical everyday use .

.. What is going on in New Mexico , Oregon , Washington State , and Colorado , among other states , is that each state has passed a so – called ” human rights ” law , incorporating gays and lesbians into its orbit . As a result ,  these laws have become to be used as a war club by pro gay rights activist in going after businesses that refuse to serve gays or lesbians . More often than not , this has been in the area of so – called same –  sex wedding celebrations . When the business says no service , the gay rights folks sue for discrimination . Because of this legal mess , the businesses have to pay ruinous legal fees just to have the chance to remain in business . Some cannot . An Oregon cakeshop ceased doing business in the normal fashion , the  owners retreating to their home as a home – based business as a result . How sad , and how outrageous .

.. Activist judges have been taking the law into their own hands , such as with gay and lesbian rights . These anarchist judges have pushed the envelope far , far ahead of things than many of us in society want to happen or expect to  happen . Yet , they still do this . What are these folks doing , casting tiddly winks ? Hardly . They are making law from the bench ,  which is not their job .

.. In addition , interest groups and others are using two laws , one well known (section 1983 of the Civil Rights Act) and one unknown (the Civil Rights Attorney Fees Act of 1976) to bash so many folks over the head with a billy club . These loonie – toons practice what is known as lawfare , using the threat of ruinous legal fees , plus the payment of the plaintiff ‘ s judgement and legal fees , in order to compel a settlement . Nowadays , this weapon is being turned potentially against churches ….

.. Arizona undoubtedly has a law like this . They have seen what has been going on in neighboring states , including the Elaine Photography case in New Mexico . The dilemma in Arizona that the lawmakers have to think about is this : Should someone be compelled to produce a product or service for something that they do not support (such as same – sex weddings ,  same – sex adoptions , you get the idea) as in the Elaine Photography case , based upon sound religious reasons ,  in violation of their First Amendment rights to freedom of religion and religious practice ?

.. I say no . These states are pushing the acceptance of same – sex acts on at times an unwilling populace . If people are not comfortable doing so , and it is because of religion and religious faith , then they should not be forced into an accomodation with others . Also , the state is forcing ” compelled speech ” by doing this . Doing such a thing is in gross violation of the First Amendment rights of the defendants . Also , the interest groups make it all but impossible for folks to defend themselves because of their lawfare strategy . Giving people their religious rights once again gives them the chance to defend themselves .

.. this bill has been proposed in Ohio , I believe . The legislature can pass it , because the votes are easily there [61-38 in the State House , 23 – 10 in the State Senate] . The big question is Governor Kasich . This year is an election year , and he is on  the ballot . He probably does not want to give gays and lesbians any ” bulletin board ” material with which to play with on the political trail .

.. Ohio is an initiative and referendum state . Yes , that means gays and lesbians could mount a issue campaign to put the bill before voters . However , if the bill is approved with 3/5ths support [60 in the House , 20 in the Senate] , then no campaign is allowed . The bill would be considered an ” emergency , ” and would take effect immediately ..

… Interesting Ad [Louisiana US Senate] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Tuesday,February 18th,2014

.. that the DummyCraps are not going to like , not one bit .

.. Senator Mary Landrieux [D-La] is going to be very popular this election cycle . Her political position has become very , very precarious . She is either even in the polls with her potential (likely Republican) opponents , or she is trailing them . Worse for her , she is well below 50 percent in the polls . That is the ” danger ” zone for any incumbent …

.. Louisiana is an unusual byrd . It has what is known in the elections trade as a ” jungle ” primary . Democraps , Republicans , and Independents , everybody runs in the primary , which is held on the regular Election Day [in November] . If the first place winner gets 50% + 1 vote , then they are elected . If not , then the top 2 finishers , regardless of party , go on to the runoff election (usually held about 5 to 6 weeks later) .

.. this year , Landrieux should make the runoff , but it is not guaranteed . If she is the only Dem , then she will make it . If another Dem with any support runs , then she is in deep doo – doo . She and a republican will move on to the (December) runoff election . Depending on the General Eleection results , control of the Senate could be in the balance .

.. I think that she will go . Ads like this one will be thick as fleas all year long …

… These I.R.S. Proposed Regs are Oppresive …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Thursday,February 6th,2014

… and they must be stopped ..

.. Cleta Mitchell is a solid Republican . She is no Establishmentarian . She is a strong Tea Party supporter . She is from the Virginia Tidewater , not too close to D.C. . She is close enough to D.C. to have a very successful law practice , and is one of the best election law practitioner / specialists in the business . Listen to what she says very carefully …

.. this is a video of her presentation on these oppresive proposed IRS rules …

.. [h/t — niceDeb]

.. [link] to the video . It is well worth your time to watch . If you want to comment to the I.R.S. , keep it simple and brief , and use the info below as a guideline …

.. the following is reprinted with permission …

.. The IRS got caught with their pants down last year. So now they are writing regulations that will allow them to do legally what they were doing illegally before. Every time you think these people can sink no lower, they go out of their way to prove you wrong. A cabal of leftist groups sued the IRS demanding they adopt these regulations, whereupon the IRS went out of its way to comply. This is a classic set up. It was probably agreed to in advance between the IRS and the plaintiffs. Now that they are complying, the leftists have magically dropped their suit!

.. Here is how to fight back. The following was written by Cleta Mitchell, one of the best attorneys in this field. Read it, follow the instructions and pass them around. The following is reprinted verbatim with permission:

.. DO NOT LET THE IRS SILENCE YOU!!

COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED IRS REGULATIONS FOR C4 ORGANIZATIONS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 27th , 2014

Comments can be filed via email:

Submissions may be sent electronically via the Federal eRulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov

Include this citation: IRS REG-134417-13

That will take you to the IRS comments page where you can enter your comments. Be sure to include your name and address.

Tell the IRS it should hold public hearings around the nation on these regs

1. Rules are complex and impose huge burdens on 501c4 groups to calculate and report to IRS many (if not most) normal c4 activities…that will not be counted toward primary purpose if these are adopted.

Tell the IRS:
•it is impractical, burdensome and unacceptable for the IRS to interject itself into the inner workings of every citizens group in the country
•the IRS is supposed to be collecting revenues, not snooping and trampling on the First Amendment rights of the citizens
•we are not subjects and we are permitted to engage in First Amendment activities without reporting those activities to the IRS

2. The activities that the IRS would now define as ‘candidate-related political activities’, subject to taxation and reporting to the IRS, are basic 501c4 activities:
•Grassroots lobbying
•Candidate forums
•Candidate debates
•Voter registration
•Voter guides
•Issue advocacy

Tell the IRS these rules are unacceptable because they would:
•keep citizens from holding their public officials accountable
•silence citizens and chill the very purpose of grassroots groups
•create different rules and standards for different types of 501c groups, such that a charitable organization could do MORE than a grassroots group
•force citizens to get their information about candidates from 30 second tv ads and the candidates and the media – rather than from candidate debates, candidate forums and seeing public officials face-to-face in townhall and other meetings
•treat as candidate-related activities essentially everything that a grassroots organization does
•force organizations to remove legislative voting records from their websites in even-numbered years
•treat legislative voting records as a taxable, non-primary purpose activity of a c4 organization
•treat meetings with public officials as taxable events, even when the official appears as an “official” and not as a candidate
•treat internal membership communications as taxable, if there is a mention of a candidate or public official, if a group has more than 500 members who receive the communication
•declare certain activities to be ‘candidate-related’ political activities, EVEN if no candidate is mentioned
•allow labor unions, churches, universities, veterans groups, social clubs, business groups and others to have greater First Amendment rights than grassroots citizens organizations
•citizens groups shouldn’t have to pay taxes on protected First Amendment activities such as publishing voting records, grassroots lobbying and voter registration

Many other possible examples and reasons. Write your own. Call your congressman!

Join with other grassroots activists in fighting the IRS regs!

… O ‘ Reilly vs His Lordship [Super Bowl Sunday interview] …

Posted by paulfromwloh on Monday,February 3rd,2014

.. now I have it ..

.. A big thank you for FoxNews for releasing it for ‘Net comsumption . Also , a big thank you to RealClearPolitics for getting the whole thing …

.. for those who are sadistic enough , and want to watch His Lordship (my term for POTUS) look like a colossal idiot , watch [here] …

.. [h/t RealClearPolitics , FoxNews]

Why didn’t you fire Sebelius?” O’Reilly said.

He avoided a direct answer, but Obama said that people were being “held accountable.” O’Reilly subsequently questioned Obama on whether his promise that, “If you like your plan, you can keep it” was his biggest “mistake” as president. Obama used a football analogy at the end of this line of questioning, saying he was trying to not dwell on the “fumbles” and move on to the next play.

O’Reilly also asked Obama if he was told in the initial aftermath of the 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, that it had been a “terrorist attack.”

“When someone is attacking our compound, that’s an act of terror,” Obama said, adding that he had used that phrase in a Rose Garden statement the day after the attack.

“Your detractors believe that you did not tell the world it was a terror attack because your campaign didn’t want that out,” O’Reilly said. “That’s what they believe.”

“And they believe it because folks like you are telling them that,” Obama shot back.

After some intense questioning about last year’s revelation that the IRS targeted certain groups, including conservative groups, for extra scrutiny, Obama took another jab at Fox News.

“These kinds of things keep on surfacing in part because you and your TV station will promote them,” he said.
